Unloaded 53 - Part 1
Added 2021-12-14 04:45:47 +0000 UTCOthais and Mae (plus a little Kevin) talk about Othais' revolver obsession, copyright issues, advise to a traveling Brit, and more!
This one I had to split up for rendering purposes, so make sure to snag both parts!

2021-12-30 22:25:19 +0000 UTCI believe that the UK, Australia, and Japan are the big right hand drive countries. There are probably more but those are the big ones. Everyone else drives on the left hand side.

2021-12-20 15:34:22 +0000 UTCOn the revolver cartridges, is there a reason you aren't using nitrated paper so that you don't need to tear them open, just ram them down.

2021-12-20 05:26:35 +0000 UTCFor Gary, or anyone else, the Cody Firearms Museum is in Cody, Wyoming. The Browning Firearms Museum is in Ogden, Utah. Both are worth your time.

2021-12-19 17:18:51 +0000 UTCYou guys always talk about audio levels on your podcasts, but I'm always cutting my volume in half to listen as apposed to Youtube or really any other player I have. It's much louder and clearer than you think on our side.

2021-12-19 01:34:07 +0000 UTCVideo requires dismantling my desk, setting up lights, getting presentable for public appearance, and 20 minute limits on the DSLRs. It's a lot.

2021-12-17 02:16:06 +0000 UTCQuestion. Why podcast? I'm sure you have answered that before but I really don't care for podcast. Are you doing them nude? In bed? I like to listen to you guys but watching is more natural some how. Keep it up either way (video is better).

2021-12-16 16:44:28 +0000 UTCI am a sucker for wheelguns. Screw those autoloaders with a bucket full of bullets in the grip one loads on sunday and shoot a month... (But 1911s. I like those...). Kiddin. Mustard has to be red (hot) loewensenf, of course. Want a glass with greetz from D'dorf?

2021-12-16 02:15:23 +0000 UTC1) WWII museum in New Orleans is amazing. I've been there more times than I can remember and I always find something new. My then gf and I spent an entire day there and didn't get to one of the exhibits. 2) revolvers are simple in terms of engineering, complicated in terms of geometry; pistols are the opposite.

2021-12-15 21:35:37 +0000 UTCSuggestion for the trap wall, tape a couple sheets of paper up to the wall(s) from as far back and perpendicular. Then photograph each of the traps on top of a sheet of paper in the orientation you want to display them. Insert them as layers on Photoshop and scale the sheets to match and then drag them around and adjust opacity to plan it out.

2021-12-14 15:55:57 +0000 UTCregarding custom dies, you're gonna want to spec 4140 PHT (pre-heat treated) in the 26-32 Rockwell C range. it's commonly available and fairly cheap. machining it in hardened condition is no big deal with carbide insert tooling. getting the die made is also relatively simple using a machining service like xometry, where you provide them with a cad model and their software provides you with an instant quote. any questions on this stuff, assistance with cad modeling/drafting/tolerancing, let me know. FWIW I was the guy who was loading 7.65 french long test ammo for Ian before starline started making brass.
