The only Chicken brave enough to still wear a hat is the great agent C of OWCA

tenofprime

We need to link it to chemtrails and Roswell somehow.

tenofprime

Just a thought about your media storage. If you guys want a little help with system configuration I may be able to help out. I'm not local but it's what I do for a living.

Sean Warnock

I think a great "core concepts" short would be blowback vs. short recoil vs. long recoil, which I know you already did in the Chauchat episode, but I think it's important enough to stand alone. I understand it now, but I remember feeling confused for a long time when people would use those terms without explaining them.

Alex

Also, how are you guys doing with hooks?

Steven Faiello

Ian has done and on-and-off a series of videos on basic operating mechanisms of guns the past few years. You should ask him how they've done to see if it's worth it for you. Also, there's a fast food place near where I grew up called Burger Express. Everyone goes there for their fried chicken (which is fantastic) and most people haven't even tried the burgers (which aren't bad), so I can totally see your conspiracy theory holding water.

Steven Faiello

Another terrific podcast. Speaking of a home without censorship, have you looked into Locals? Created by Dave Rubin ... an alternative to being censored by big tech. https://locals.com/

I just replaced potato cajes with jalepeno popers, but life still feels empty and meaningless since they took potato cakes behind the barn like old yeller

Sleepy's good boy

I wonder how a series of shorts on the gun designers would help your numbers. The history is my favorite part of your show.

Daniel Falch

I found this on the Inter Webs... "Despite rumors that persist to this day, Arby is not a creative misspelling of the initials for roast beef, the ingredient that makes up some of the fast-food chain’s most popular offerings. It is, however, a creative misspelling of the initials of the chain’s founders — the Raffel Brothers — who opened the first Arby’s location in Boardman, Ohio, in 1964."

Brian Foster

Do the shorts, while wearing shorts.

Jun Kumazawa

I don't mind if the "shorts" are released at the same time as a longer episode. Especially if you can make it clear in the title which one is a short.

Glenn Miller

Speaking of things you can't unsee, the more I see the Amazon arrow/smile logo, the more it reminds me of a penis.

James McKenzie

I wonder how many "shut up Kevin" we would get if the three of you were together on the podcast...

darkphoenix06660

Quick check of 4 local Lowe's around here shows 26 hooks in stock. I'll swing by a couple of stores and grab a few for you guys.

CountryRock _2001

I had always thought Arby's was an acronym: America's Roast Beef, Yes Sir. And I would listen to a Kevin-centric podcast for as long as you cared to do it. And I kind of quit Arby's when they stopped doing potato cakes.

Drizzle

I was just staring at the chicken with the hat and wondering WTF when you launched into the Arby's conspiarcy theory. My day is now complete. Oh, and I created a time stamp list for Bolt Action 101 subjects and plan to do the same for Revolvers 101. Makes it easy to zoom in on specific sections. It might be an alternative to the shorts. Bolt Action 101 Ammunition 0:5:35 Barrel 0:42:00 Action 0:54:43 Receiver 1:35:40 Trigger 1:42:29 Safety 1:46:25 Magazine 1:50:14 Stock 2:03:22 Sights 1:11:26 Accessories 2:23:55

I absolutely love Othais making up conspiracy theories because he sounds LEGIT. Good thing he only cares about truth because he would be a legendary bullshiter

Gage

wrt 5 minute videos, I'd like to hear a recounting of the events that starts with Paul Mauser's poor luck in business something Ottoman Turkey something French poudre-B something something something FN Herstal is created and then picks up and runs with Mauser/JMB designs.

David Brewer

Found 7 hooks at our Lowes. Coming your way from Lancaster PA

James Zak

Mmm, I'm thinking Harby's now.

Jonathon Payne

The best, and sometimes the most upsetting, part of giving five whole British Pounds a month, to candrsenal, is this thing. This is the only soap opera I have ever paid for; and the only one I have eagerly tuned in to for 4 decades. Well done.

Bradwan

The Arby’s chicken hat conspiracy is a YouTube rabbit hole I’d gladly fall into. What did he know and why aren’t the chickens in hats anymore?!?!?

Sabertooth88

This is true.

Ronald Carrier

Call in the troops Othias! We need to crown us a hook king!

Matthew Graeff

The real conspiracy is that Arby's (RB) is actually code for Rosicrucian Bloodoath.

Tiger in man's clothing

When it comes to logos (and this is something you probably already know), I learned that the Husqvarna logo is a rifle sight when I researched my M38 Swedish Mauser video.

Milsurp Mike

Mae Responding: Let's be honest, O is very special.

C&Rsenal

The fast-food discussion at the end was very special.

Ronald Carrier

I watched Revolver 101 twice, and rewatched the section on double-action 3 times. Cutting something big like that into short 5 minute segments about how a specific component works might be good. I'd probably watch that segment at least once or twice more. For some reason the different ways to do double-action were absolutely fascinating.

Robert Santamaria

The downfall of Hardee's will be the recent change from dill pickles to some other kind of disgusting abomination on their sandwiches.

Eric Elcock

yeah, i've got 3 in my normal commuting run i'd be happy to check

Eric McKenney

Lowe's part number and picture please for "the hook".

Love the core concepts short idea, and it's pretty close to the stats and methods shorts I do on my channel, and those are the bulk of my traffic. People just search "what's the difference between p-value and effect size," then they find my video, and sometimes, they go onto my longer, more in-depth, videos on papers. I try to script them to be around 3-4min. As to topics, the big thing I've learned is how to appreciate the differences between revolvers. The first revolver revelation that comes to mind is how exactly the Abadie gate works. You could also do one on the beautiful trigger simplification that they did in Eibar in making the Ruby (compared to the Browning 1900 that is). And for the trigger job you could do some clickbaity title like "EIBAR MADE BETTER PISTOLS THAN FN" or something along those lines. I actually loved the Manurin vs S&W comaprison that Chap did a couple weeks ago, so something along those lines would be cool. Maybe how the 1903 improved on the Mauser?

David Herman

Perhaps a video on what is a book and how to use one is in order. And squeegeeing floor mats. Some kind of C&Rselenal behind the scenes tips series...

Andrey Gardner

Been a while since I've sat down and listened to one of these. Excellent as always.

Michael C. Stewart

You should have read the wiki on Arby’s. It stands for Raffel Brothers, the guys who started it.

John Klear

I'm not even kidding the intro makes the show better. Seriously. Don't change it.

Andrew Smelser

Yay

Coatl

Thanks very much guys.
