Othais and Mae discuss handling uncertain loads, future episodes, the kindness of our buddy Sven from Manticore Arms and another listener (we weren't sure if he wanted to remain anonymous here), and more!

(Sorry about the occasional cement truck noise!)

Mark as Stan, Ian as Soos and Crozier as Bill. this would be amazing.

tenofprime

Wow, timely... I’ve been eyeballing a 6.5 Carcano Veterli at a pawn shop... not now

Tim Black

Hearing your guys cute relationship makes me want to do a gravity falls style comic/cartoon. Othias studying his old and weird firearms while Mae is running around the backyard so proud of her Woodsman knife Othias got her.

@C&Rsenal Best of luck to you on your tax issue. I'm fighting my way through my own taxes right now. I feel the pain.

Anyone that shoots collectable firearms should slug the bore. Once you are set up for it, it is a 5 minute routine. It not only for undersized bores, but also oversized bores. Selecting the right bullet is essential for BOTH safety and accuracy. Also reload with bulkier powders where a double charge doesn’t fit. Being cheap is being stupid when using powder that allows a double charge. When loading a BP round, use BP. The comments on β€œdifficult to clean” are excuses that have nothing to do with the difficulty of cleaning a BP firearm. If it takes longer than a few minutes, you are doing something really wrong.

I think a GFM to get the tax-man off his back so he can get some rest is a worthy goal. I know Othais will get his back up over the idea of taking charity, but it would be more of a way for us to show our support for his efforts w/o incurring more tax burden [since it would be a gift, as opposed to taxable income from his business of C&Rsenal...] Still think it sux that Paypal is the whole problem here. Haven't you tried calling Elon to get his help straightening this out, Othais? I know you two must be on a 1st name basis... πŸ˜‰

THIS! ABSOLUTELY THIS! If you grind yourselves into the dirt and die, we can't enjoy the content at all, because you're dead.

Eric McKenney

Would a human sized light box be viable?

Andrey Gardner

Give us the sneeze, or this stuffed Orca gets it!

General Jack Ripper

The sound bite, not the actual fluid

Joshua Alberry

bruh, yours idle?

C&Rsenal

gross

C&Rsenal

never!

C&Rsenal

Sadly no, everything the camera sees must have the same light level, or darker. So if we shade mae and have a bright background it's awful.

C&Rsenal

rofl, that'll show 'em

C&Rsenal

It is not.

C&Rsenal

Freak everyone out with a MoM Hi-Point.

Jun Kumazawa

Repercussion episode!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Josey

Can confirm, Sven and his wife are good people. Met them last October at RIA, who are also really nice. Nice little private luncheon with them, Joel, Paul and Ian.

TankDestroyerSarge

sounds good about the reprocussion help. hey I liked the sks minuteofmae. have a 54 russian. you go ahead and do a bp part. install a freaking gunrack in the jeep then. you ain't in boston or something, are you.

Guido Schriewer

Good podcast, remember my grandfather carefully examining cartridges and shotgun shells. He was a WW1 veteran, trained in loading, repairing, and synchronizing aircraft machine guns in France. I have confidence that any video you post will be excellent.

David Nesius

The section about the "proper" way to shoot a gun just made me think of Spongebob. "Now land on your right foot and don't forget it."

David Herman

Kentucky took a pretty big risk in order to fire some exotic and rare ammo for clicks and it bit him. I think you're right that he ignored some pretty big safety flags with the ammo. I also think it's worth noting the lack of passive safeties. As soon as he showed the breech cap I had a flashback to your videos on the Nambu rifles. Vent holes and gas shields EVERYWHERE, for guns firing service rifle cartridges. But nothing to mitigate a casehead failure on a rifle firing a heavy machinegun cartridge on the Serbu. A casehead seperation in that rifle was like a pipe bomb waiting to happen.

Ivanovitch2885

Othias is avoiding a big opportunity based on his insistence that this is a firearms program. All gaps should be filled with guinea pig programming.

Mark Clement

I for one would happily take 3 weeks in between every Primer if it meant that everyone involved gets to sleep regularly :)

Jean-Claude Thibault

Can’t wait for the new C&Rsenal OnlySneezes page

Jean-Claude Thibault

Tangent: Details on "motorcycles" . I have that condition as well & its great to have a dozen Buells idling happily in the garage during their periodic exercise.

I'm at $10 a month, can I have the sneeze?

Joshua Alberry

No worries about the delays, shit happens. Looking forward to the Repercussion episode whenever it happens

Chris Stochaj

Maybe we should have a Gofundme or equivalent for the express purpose of forcing Othais to take a vacation. The best thing is that people can donate if they like Othais or for the express purpose of annoying him.

Nicholas Resar

'90s house? Try 1890's like mine... Would some kind of pop up sun blocker help with outdoor lighting? Are there any other emotional support firearms books I can be on the look out for to help with your mental health?

Andrey Gardner

#taxationistheft Maybe I should kill my Patreon support and send you cash in a card every month.

Milsurp Mike

Sigh... Othais, as a whole bunch of us have said many times before: It is OK for you/C&Rsenal to take a break and not release an episode every 2 weeks. It's OK. You will not lose or disappoint any of us. Mae & Suze, feel free to slap Oathis upside the head if that is what it takes to get him past this hang-up of his. PS - Non-WWI content good!

Jason

I’m using that numbers on the mailbox door thing. Mae scores there.

John Klear

Thank you so much

Kris Smith

It's Ok, the gap. You guys need to take care of things, we'll be here when you can get back at it.

John Thomas

Haven't had time to listen yet, but since I see everybody else talking: if you need the time, go ahead and release the R.L. Wilson episode. I'll listen to it a couple of times again for the algorithm, too - it's good history.

David Axel Hansen

I became a patron of yours the moment I found out you had a Patreon only podcast. Posting the RL Wilson talk for everyone to hear is a great idea. It buys you some time and gives the masses a taste of what we get here on Pateron. Might get you a few extra patrons. A little chum in the water never hurts when you wanna bring in fish.

JustOldJoe

As a patron, whilst I speak for noone but myself, feel free to release the RL Wilson discussion to the public. It's nice to have privilege, but keeping the schedule up is important for growing the channel. So don't worry.

Alexander Hickman

Older reloader with questionable obsolete anmo? I am wondering if this is referring to Gad Custom Cartridges.

Mark Kruk

I hope my four and a half United Kingdom Pounds a month contribution will allow you to have a holiday.

Bradwan

Now I'm envisioning a suicidal Vetterli...

Alden Skinner

I sincerely hope no one ever gives you folks grief over safety, ammunition or otherwise.

David Hemsath

I'm sorry, but your handtrap series proves that Othias is a massive honey bee magnet. I bet they hang around your mailbox.

Bradwan

Neighbours! Everybody loves good neighbours.

Bradwan

The Post Orifice drama... lmfao

James McKenzie

Love the unloaded's! Am working on the second time through the conversations with Manny Dela Cruze! Really super enjoyable for driving, working or reloading out in "the shop"!

Mustafa's Fleas

Thanks very much, this sure to keep me entertained while completing safety validations.
