Mae, what did you do to your glasses? They look like they got bent up before filming the assessment section.

Typical of most collector orgs, the membership is literally dying off and they're looking for ways to reach out to a younger demographic. I pointed them at the Tripple Lock ep and a couple of Unloaded eps where you discussed the exact problem they're facing. I think they'd be open to any ideas, and a collaberation with Roy Jinks would be awesome. Kind of the flip side of the R. L. Wilson story...

Alden Skinner

Gotcha. I’ll miss the snarky Othais intro comments, but I think it does make for a nice clean opening!

nick G

Sublime. Awful and sublime.

C&Rsenal

Oh? Do you know what the project is?

C&Rsenal

Thank

C&Rsenal

The usual intros had to go bc we can't always find images of the guns in action AND when we leave WWI we will lose public domain protections

C&Rsenal

Yes, but also the punch sorta means I can hit it with anything.

C&Rsenal

The worst handgun that you love... has is reached Kel Tec levels?

Andrey Gardner

I find my Bodeo more interesting now. It is still the most unpleasant handgun to shoot that I own, but it’s more intersting.

John Klear

Not related to this ep, but expect to be contacted by the Smith & Wesson Collector's Association for some form of collaboration. Probably initially by snail mail to dodge the inbox-from-hell. My bad. Sorry, but not sorry... just thought you'd see it here sooner. Oh, and enjoyed the deeper dive wheel gun episode!

Alden Skinner

signore glisenti kind of looks like an oooold Ian that lost hair, doesn't he. I think revolvers are WAY simpler than autoloaders. the cheap as it looks. it is impressive how simple the mechanics are yet still DA/SA and abadie. nickname isn't broomhandle by chance? that grip looks like one! simplicity and mass issue on cheap... surprising the soviets didn't copied it as they needed just that.

Guido Schriewer

Thanks for the deep dive.

Matteo Manino

I hope it will be the norm, I like how it gives us a glimpse of the gun in action as an opening.

While I can totally appreciate Othias' admiration for the economy of construction in both labor and materials in the Bodeo I've gotta go with Mae's perspective . The engineering triumph is an ergonometric nightmare

Wayne Dygert

Ah my first full primer episode watching as a patron! So awesome.

tenofprime

So, question....will there be a return of the usual intros, or is the Mae shooting demo just for the reworked episodes?

nick G

1:25:48 on a Bodeo Primer is how things should be.

Ori

Nice job on the update. Just one question: Were the faces of those two hammers polished? Asking for a, umm, friend…

Jason

Totally stoked to see the Bodeo return! Not at all a rerun. As a career scientist, I love it when someone comes out with new info on an interesting subject.

Will Sanders

sorry for the rerun then.

C&Rsenal

"Bode-no"

Jake Rutten

Never believe it but I've sent the weekend going through the entire Italian arms playlist and just cleared the Chamelot-Delvinge and Chamelobodeo mini episode.

Will Sanders

I recently purchased a Bodeo last year dated 1916. Enlisted model. Still in good shape except for one of the orginal grips has gotten loose from wear. I think it can still shoot but finding ammo is hard as hell now.
