I spent several years in my IT career in the mid-to-late 1980s on early document imaging systems, meant to replace paper after initial capture, index/OCR & archive before insertion into business workflows. There was an intense side-skirmish for electronic document standards until PDF captured the flag.

2021-02-03 18:32:47 +0000 UTCIm surprised there were more sights in there for mannlicher rifles than mauser... I wonder if Mannlicher was way more popular at the time than the mauser rifles were, until they got imported in massive quantities after WW2
