What's in the box!?

Othais has been getting a lot of help from our discord friends on identifying, locating, and shipping hand traps.  When this one came in, we thought why not share our first experience with it.  Enjoy!

What's in the box!?

That's some good stuff.

If one eye is good enough for Paul Mauser, it's good enough for you. Ungrateful kids.

Halinspark

Let's spin the sharp metal edges fast enough to fly next to your body. What could go wrong with that in an age before eye protection.

Ted Weldon

The dog's named after an arsenal?

Alden Skinner

Ian would be enthusiastic about that I'm sure. looks as nerdy as it could ever get. ok not exactly a kentucky long rifle or such but there seem to sit some BP at the mantel... as there should be. I mean.. a mantel without a frontstuffer just ain't a mantel, is it.

Guido Schriewer

I think the DuPont is in danger of being dethroned as the most terrifying trap.

Michael Stringer

Is this from the same people that did lawn darts? I can see why clays caught on and spinning metal blades didn't.

Erik Schmitz

I was more imagining the steel bird flying in an errant direction being the hazard over any sort of ricochet problem. I would still definitely love to see this thing in action.

Tula

with birdshot they should just ping off

When I can make some time (hopefully Feb) I'd love to. I'm curious if these can be remade today. Email me if I forget though.

Cool thrower! Which giant hound did we get a glimpse of? All I could see was a paw and a tail.

Jason

In England tossers are common; especially around shotguns; but steel pigeons ain't.

Bradwan

Loved getting to see the initial unboxing. I, for one, was very interested in seeing what you bought from across the pond. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to hearing it's history and seeing it in action!

Jim Short

I would definitely suggest a face shield for whoever's launching them!

Greg Stachowski

That thing is so cool, I feel like those steel "birds" would do a hefty bit of damage if you were unfortunate enough to make contact with a flying one. The steel seems a bit like low-key flying shrapnel haha

Sabertooth88

Was... was that a RLM reference?

Will Sullivan

Any chance of getting dimensions on those steel birds? I do design work at a manufacturer where I could do some repros for you, and make up a tosser.

Matt Lohafer

For some reason, that thing looks like a lightsaber to me.

BrowncoatGarrus

Nice.

General Jack Ripper

I have been tinkering. Defense Distributed has a 3D printable grip out.

C&Rsenal

Super cool. Gotta get that thing outside once you've fully gone through it and give it full power.

CountryRock _2001

Casual S&W M&P Shield mag in background, love that gun

Victor Khabarov

As long as its spinning in the right direction it doesn't matter which way the pigeon is flipped.

Even if it doesn't fly the history looks to be amazing.

Tiger in man's clothing

Jonathan is a good friend.

Robin Roberts

Really wanna see this sucker fly!!! Pls

Wayne Dygert

That was my expectation

C&Rsenal

Very, very cool, more history pls

Leslie Alexander

Now this one is almost approaching steampunk status.

Cameron King

I would love to see this in action

Ryan D Thorne

I never imagined such a contraption ever existed. Crazy. When you release the sear and the hub spins, the leading edge of the "clay" needs to be tilted up into the wind, like an aircraft wing I think.

Josey

Spinny danger stick!

Gunnar Marshall

Two in one day? You're spoiling us.
