Unloaded 27

Othais and Mae are joined this time around by Blackpowder Kevin from IV8888 who came to town to help them with a special project, the project of friendship.

This podcast will be released to the public a little later as part of a "We have over 300k subscribers on YouTube so please enjoy this extra content" bit, but we wanted patrons to have the first listen.  Enjoy!

Great war brought me here. Seems like a long time ago now. Don't really watch a lot of what they are making now but still love watching you guys.

Jonathan Sullivan

They are progressing nicely. Thankfully they are going to try and be full featured at the word go.

C&Rsenal

Great pod cast .Yes I listen to it over several days which was great . My cell let's me pause the pod cast and smoothly restart were I left off. Keep up the great work . Just joined patron a few days ago

robert j schneider

That's just the way it's done.

Any update on Utreon?

Alden Skinner

I tend to think of the really good gun books like text books on advanced and obscure topics. They're *going* to be pricey. Particulalarly when there there weren't a lot printed in the first place, and it's now out of print. Check addall.com...

Alden Skinner

So the Micro-series will have little tiny pictures?

Alden Skinner

And yet Amazon sells all kinds of gun parts and accessories. Janus anyone?

Alden Skinner

AGC Guinea Pig agility trials?

Alden Skinner

Having been with you since about episode 11, this podcast triggered a lot of reminiscing for me. To this day you are still way way too self critical.

Richard Anderson

I just want to say that knowing how much effort other people put in to their projects, and the scale in which they occur on helps keep things in perspective. Its one thing to want to work harder, but its another to actually know what "harder" really is. Also "Push the button Othias"

Karl Abrahamson

Probably my favorite Unloaded. I love background stories, and Kevin seemed to know how to prime the pump. Obviously I'm on Patreon, but my thing is the shirts. Waiting for the rifle teepee shirt. Keep up the great work, and try to sleep some more if you can. I did listen to the end. Don't go work at McDs; send Mae to sniper school.

Drizzle

I listened on YouTube. Thanks. For some reason, I like the behind the scenes talk. How about making a bloopers video?

Brian Foster

I finally finished the podcast (after 2 trips to gym). Great info and I’m increasing my support 50%!

Lynn Phillips

What got me into you guys was the Great War channel. I also watch Ian at Forgotten Weapons but for some reason you were never recommended by YouTube, go figure? I just want to say that was a great podcast. I love the tangents you all find yourselves going down. Also your show is amazing I have learnt so much from your episodes. You guys produce a quality show.

Jacob Sollars

Looked at the budget and adding 50% to my monthly subscription has been done.

Mustafa's Fleas

Enough is enough. After listening to this, I really had to add a few euros to your subscription list. Please keep up with the good work and enjoy the future episodes!

Arensor

I first heard of y'all when you were on the Handgun Radio podcast ages and ages ago. I figured anyone who spends most of their time not talking about the latest Glock derivative deserves a closer look. Since then, thanks to you, I've learned just how old some of the wundernine's design features are (cartridge included).

Christopher Dooley

I came from Great War, but I also watch Forgotten Weapons lol

Robert Santamaria

6:38 Comrade, I'm a member of the Groucho Marxist Party. Just saying

Minion

That was Mae? I though it sounded one of the fur balls got too close too the mic... Leads me to wonder who takes after whom there, and why there is a surplus of Guinea pig photos a deficit of dog ones.

Andrey Gardner

I got it done in two, ironically giving up sleep to finish it on the second day.

Andrey Gardner

I listened to the ENTIRE podcast straight through without pause nor interruption!!! I laughed out loud several times, and Mae you missed a few F-bombs. ;)

Bill Gall

So who is Sue? Have we ever seen her?

Chris Marchi

Well that took me 3 days to listen to lol

Thank you for joining up!

C&Rsenal

thank

I joined your patreon because of this podcast. Previously a lover of the channel, but hearing your youtube and patreon troubles prompted me to join in. Keep up the good fight for history. Love you guys and your project. You guys inspire me to keep collecting myself and reading about history.

Then use an appropriate control method! Maybe a baseball bat? My “long” launch was like 15 minutes. Had a podcast to listen to. On the menu were microwaved Tyson breaded chicken strips dipped in 'bangbang' sauce (1 part mayo to 1 part asian sweet chili sauce, spiced up with Sirach hot sauce, mixed well) and a coke zero. No sweet tea for me!

Jason

I love the length, I listen to this while I'm at work and it really makes the my day much more enjoyable listening to you guys banter.

Gerald Drake

This was a wonderful episode. You guys are crazy, in a good way. :)) I’ve decided to move up to the $5 tier, because you deserve it.

Ronald Carrier

I have to take notes on what parts of Unloaded I want to respond to, and still have no idea what to say by the time I get to the end. You have already answered more questions than I would have thought to ask. Thus, I shall have to confine my thoughts to the following. If one has not almost died, then one has not lived. Your disciple is research not subject, a journey not a destination, a service no a good. A savings account is that thing that pays the credit card bill and dying on one’s feet is a retirement plan. I have never thought of a shotgun as an adult novelty on account of "its got a pump and a hole" Not that I by anyone's merch, but will "Don't promise what you can’t deliver… I can screw something up in a heartbeat. (That's just the way it's done)" be on a t-shirt? As for growing support, I don’t think me upping my donuts contribution will promote the right kind of growth, not that I have ever noticed Mae looking any less endearing in a Primer. Perhaps I should contribute some Acraglas for the shotgun series instead.

Andrey Gardner

I know there’s no need to, but I feel y’all deserve it.

Carson Mentzer

No need to up! Just stick with us

C&Rsenal

I forgot how nuanced it used to be

C&Rsenal

Mae's laugh is great. She just starts hyperventilating In pure laughter it's great lol. Hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving! very thankful for the hard work you guys do. Certainly gives me many hours of enjoyment

Andrew Smelser

I absolutely get what you’re talking about with eating while editing. I had a job producing the weekly review video for a summer camp. Over a month and a half I developed a cavity in a tooth from eating so much candy. I didn’t even know I was eating that much. I don’t remember even grabbing candy, it just kinda happened. It’s a good thing my only mode of transport around camp was a bicycle, or I’d have shot up in weight. I appreciate the time editing takes. For the style I was doing there (editing video to music) it’d be something like 40 minutes to an hour for each final minute of video. Talking head videos can go a bit quicker than that, but editing in graphics sucks time away. Y’all do a really good job on all of that. I think a lot of people just don’t appreciate how much is involved with that.

PoindexterG

Enjoyed every last second of this, I’ve upped my contribution to 10 dollars now, you wonderfully insane, delightful, Deep South folks deserve that and more.

Carson Mentzer

NC for me and BTW my dad was from upstate NY so I get the whole second generation southerner thing. If you drug your matchlock along for the collaboration I can't wait to see the results;)

Wayne Dygert

Mae’s rendering farm story reminded me of this classic Dilbert strip: https://dilbert.com/search_results?terms=3d%20Rendering

Re: Humidity — I thought it was bad enough in Houston where my son went to school and lived afterwards until he moved to Oregon.

David Hemsath

Hurray. A great podcast for the night!

Chris Marchi

Mae Responding: I like how you think he's leashable! Also now I'm curious what your long lunch breaks look like.

C&Rsenal

Excellent podcast guys. Almost got me halfway through my work day. Loved it, love the content of the show.

Kerrin Zwart

Congrads on getting 300k YouTube subscribers! And thank you guys for the great content. Just don't work yourself to death Othais (keep him on a short leash Mae). And I did sit through the whole thing with just a short break for lunch.

Jason

Georgia public education at work.

C&Rsenal

bruh

C&Rsenal

Hey Kevin you skipped a decimal point there at the end. $8/hr X100hrs = $800/wk NOT $8000

Wayne Dygert

Thanks for this, great episode, looking forward to the shotgun series, I have a side by side lefever nitro special thats pretty old I think, circa 1935

Andy Oshea

In re "miserable" what about the belt between Colombia and augusta?
