Wednesday Review
Added 2019-05-30 15:48:51 +0000 UTCOnce more, not unlike before.
1. T-shirts are nearly ready for another campaign. So likely for the month of June. While I have concerns about the time of year, I've really stretched outside my comfort zone to get these put together.
The bottom right is a modification of a fan-made image. The same shown on Project Lightening. We've received his permission to work it up into a production shirt. The rest are my own experiments with doing some more 2D design work. So they are all Othais-touched and 3/4 originals.

This will also be the first batch of Anvil-themed shirts and the net from sales of those two shirts go directly to Mark. When it's all ready and settled we'll have the links up on the main channel etc.
2. I have to change the fuel pump on the "Old" Suburban but it is literally 100 degrees out. So I'm doing that one of these evenings in the dark. Wish me luck. No I'm not cutting a hole in the bed.
3. I should have never bought that Walker because now I've been down the rabbit hole of black powder all over again. I'm seriously considering a reproduction series with light history and hands-on how to. I feel like cap and ball is the red headed step child of shooting sports though.
I checked in on the channels that really cover this and some of them are putting in some great work with so little attention. Which is always surprising to me because in the US these are not considered firearms and are, for the most part, very inexpensive guns.
Convenience is King I suppose.
4. I started nodding off at my desk so this apparently became a Thursday update. My bad.
5. We're back to shirts because between the draft of this and now I randomly came up with a 5th design that I love but has little to do with anything:

I'll take one of each.

2019-06-04 23:41:13 +0000 UTCWe'll likely do the countries again near Christmas. These are a whole new thing made to be more direct.

2019-06-01 03:55:54 +0000 UTCThey seem to mostly ignore cap and ball stuff.

2019-06-01 03:55:19 +0000 UTCCapandBall is the big one on the block. But try these on: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW2_HbBV6tCboZvo-vUoFPA https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNthejyyP63I5gametCItBg

2019-06-01 03:54:59 +0000 UTCI have said that if I were a rich man I would buy land enough to shoot on, build a 2,000 sq ft house, and a 6,000 sq ft garage.

2019-06-01 03:54:03 +0000 UTCGlad you like them!

2019-06-01 03:53:17 +0000 UTCWhatever we do next will be more randomized on the era. No more being glued to a fixed list.

2019-06-01 03:53:08 +0000 UTCGlad to hear it!

2019-06-01 03:51:28 +0000 UTCRe: Shirts. As usual, I'll purchase all available to support your work. Any possibility of offering previous year's t-shirt patterns. And, an possibility of adding a Russian shirt, in the pattern of the previous offerings, to round out the major powers in the Great War?
2019-06-01 01:01:40 +0000 UTCConcur with Red Marley's comments re: Cap & Ball. Would LOVE to see it!!!!
2019-06-01 00:59:56 +0000 UTC100% on cap and ball. Imagine where the history could take you! Would there be problems with youtube though (Making/reloading ammunition?)

2019-05-31 09:58:33 +0000 UTCA cap & ball series would be interesting. Any channels you care to refer us to? I've always been sort of interested in black powder but never made the jump. It seems complicated, and I worry that I would screw something up or get lazy about cleaning.
2019-05-31 02:42:15 +0000 UTCI think we need to do a kickstarter campaign to #FundOthais'AirConditionedGarage!

2019-05-30 17:26:13 +0000 UTCI can see my future, & it has a couple of new t-shirts [which I need like I need another hole in my head.] C'est la vie!

2019-05-30 17:22:19 +0000 UTC1. Patented, Plastic, Pokey shirt! YAAAAAAAAY! 2. An FN M1910 as the logo gun for "War were declared" - BRILLIANT!

2019-05-30 16:53:52 +0000 UTCCap and ball. I don't mind saying I enjoy shooting muzzleloaders most of all. We would surely enjoy seeing Primer go forward into WWII, but you have described the challenges that would accompany that effort. Instead, how about a series going back in time, exploring the development of the guns that preceded the Great War? Back to the rifles and muskets used by frontiersmen and colonists and working up through the war against the Confederacy, ending up where Primer began. It's an idea.
