Patches!

I'll be honest: Project Lightening did not meet projections in terms of direct sales / advertising dollars.  It also had no effect on Patreon funding yet.  We did not take a loss, but the pay per hour is about $1.50 as things stand.

So if and when we do this again we'll have to include some merchandising options or other means to cover the mix of effort and liability.  To that end we are testing a limited run of patches.  Everyone seems to have loved the logos we designed for the project, so now you can own them while showing your support for these over-the-top productions.

Patrons, you get a big discount: over 30%

Thanks for the support!

C&Rsenal

Just got my patches today! Mr Green & Miss Orange fit nicely on my Maxpedition Fatboy. Mr Blue will just have to find someplace else to live...

Alden Skinner

We will start to fill in neutrals as we get gaps in belligerent WWI guns

C&Rsenal

Has it been that long?

C&Rsenal

Thank

C&Rsenal

Ordered, plus a nice print for myself that I forgot I wanted to buy. One quibble, actually two. your link to 'print shop' should change to just 'shop" and when will you do the swiss guns? Neutral party firearms perhaps?

Greg Merrill

Got my patches. (Took six -- EDIT: two -- weeks, so don't panic if they don't instantly arrive.)

Ron Johnson

Ordered and paid full price to give ya'll a bit more support. Hope this helps a bit!

Matt

I suspect that there is no direct funnel to getting viewership up thanks to our longer format and back catalog. Slow and steady

C&Rsenal

Always best to remember who really pays for the show!

C&Rsenal

Ordered Patches. Lighting series was great!!

Kevin R

agree with Erik, more of a hat and t-shirt guy, bought the vid immediately too. but that's so weird in that no uptick on viewership or patron numbers..

praack

Same here.

Michael Schumacher

Not much of a patch guy, but went and did the deed anyway. Righteous content, and you guys went the long way to Tipperary on that one. Probably going to be signing on with Ian shortly. . .so he can hopefully get to lick his very own Lewis gun.

Erik

Patches and Project Lightning ordered. I tell ya, I'd go for a tshirt that had your patented plastic pokie on it.

You need to stop with the discounts. We just ignore them.

Kyle Gilmar

Ordered the patches and upped my Patreon support. I admire your work!

Ordered, discount ignored (thanks anyway).

Chairman

Thank you for the support

C&Rsenal

rofl, noted!

C&Rsenal

I'm thinking the feather would do better on a shirt for sure.

C&Rsenal

The hope is that we've expanded the audience base. The #1 vector for C&Rsenal has been Patrons. Yeah we have a lot of subscribers, but only about 24,000 regular viewers, people who watch every Primer episode. Of that number roughly 30% is translated into a dollar a month. Which is an insane ratio compared to most of YouTube. Thankfully so, because our spending is also insane to keep up with this show!

C&Rsenal

"limited" by our unwillingness to leave any unsold!

C&Rsenal

4 real.

C&Rsenal

Yeah, our printer has been fighting for a better way and it's getting worse. Apparently there is a government-related issue there.

C&Rsenal

You already contribute!

C&Rsenal

*yoink*

Chris Crowther

ordered (and became a patron - i'm a cross-over from ForgottenWeapons). Great job, guys - absolutely enjoyed the series - thanks for all the hard work

VintagePhone

I hoped you do a set of these -- bravo! Got mine on order.

DaveJD

Ordered! THANKYOU!

David Burnham

How about the "Patented, Plastic, Pokey" banner on the front of a T-shirt, and on the back, a roundel made of a Gew 98, an SMLE (volley sights up please), a Lebel, a M.N. 1891, a Springfield, and a M1917 with "and then. . .WAR WERE DECLARED". Possibly also a different version with the major machineguns, but otherwise same? I would claw myself over a mountain of dead puppies for those. Maybe also one dedicated to the pressed-into-service outdated rifles (Martini, 71/84, Gras, etc...) - perhaps with the caption "Old Fart's Reservist Corps - 1914-1918".

Erik

Patches ordered. Thank you for all you guys do.

I'd love to see some lightning feather logo patches or t-shirt

David Grunt

So... $1.50/hrX20hr/day=$30.00/day. Good wages... for 1950. Ordered patches and a rifles of WWII poster. Thank you for all your good work.

Wayne Dygert

Uhhh limited edition patches? Here just take my money.....no discount needed.

David Gummo

I don't want a t-shirt with "War Were Declared" i want that as a notification on my phone every time i get a message.

David Gummo

I just finished ordering a set of patches. Now, if you were ever to make a "War Were Declared" t-shirt, I'll bet my toes that thing would sale out in a day

David Clark

This is where the real money gets made. <a href="https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oNZove4OTtI" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oNZove4OTtI</a>

Michael Quinn

It's both. If my guess is right they used the feather to signify light weight because they are supposed to be light machine guns, while the lightning bolt stands for for the striking power that they were supposed to have. Just my guess.

Bryan Sportel

Bought them. You all put so much blood sweat and tears into this show. You all deserve TV spot lights on history shows, especially about WW1. Hell, even a sponsorship by Mauser, Savage, or Colt would be nice. I’ll be a Patreon for as long as I can, but god I hope amazing things come to you all and you won’t need us anymore!

Ordered, it is a shame you didn't do the four to include the project lightning logo as well. was there any reason it was shaped like a white feather? I know it is a lightening bolt but it does resemble a feather in my mind.

Keith Hickson

Ordered a set. Sorry used discount, but planning on buying a 98K poster on payday anyways.

James G. Jones

You guys gotta do the Hi Guys and Patented Pokey Thing T-shirts.

J.Walton

Ordered! No discount... sorry it hasn’t worked out as planned. I bought the videos too

Agent Akin

Ordered the patches, and a cool poster! (1911)

Harold Snyder

What? Discount? LOL

Harold Snyder

Just ordered, no discount. Gotta support my favorite channels - even though postage to Europe is hefty...

Michael Schumacher

Those icons are so cute, Im not gonna lie. I need em

Afflickted

Yes, bling for my hat.

Clovis Chitwood

Got mine, no discount.

Ron Johnson

Same here, got them full price because y'all are worth it.

Paying full price. You guys deserve it.

Craig Justus

I just ordered mine at full price. Keep up the good work.

Matt Bakken

Thanks for the discount but I'll pay full price. It's well worth it.
