Hurricanes and Planning

First and foremost, we're all just fine.  While I grieve for those in North Carolina more affected by the storm, we have seen only a moderate rainstorm over the past 24 hours and nothing else expected.

I'm very happy with the decision to stay put on this one.

However, regular episode production is hard enough without taking my first vacation in some years and then following it with hurricane preparation.  So I'm back into a major, sleepless rush it seems.  This week I'm prying apart some old notes on a once overlooked but now very famous rifle in the war.  I've begged help from several friends and it seems we will have most of the story settled for you next week on time.

With the added funds from the T-shirt campaign I have begun a myriad of projects to try and organize rifles, ammunition, and books for the remaining pieces on our list, though they grow harder and harder to come by.  I'm also investing in new equipment, although that will take time to properly select and experiment with before it gets rolled into production.  I'm very cautious to make certain we get our base footage for each episode.

I have also decided to setup a C&Rsenal PO box this coming week, along with a public Amazon wishlist for outstanding books, etc.  This is mostly because we get occasional requests to support the show without using Patreon.  Plus you can send letters?

Forget letters, in the UK things like magazines are unregulated, since it's the pressure bearing components and combustible ammunition that's controlled. So it's quite possible for us to come across various items are militaria fairs that's rare as hens teeth but useless here and hence cheap. For example, Chauchat or RSC mags. Just paper weights here. Oh, and anything in an obsolete calibre (not mass produced) is legal to own so long as you're not handloading. So a functional early self-loading pistol wouldn't sell for much as we can't use them legally. Although shipping one of them over might prove trickier.

Glad to her that you all are okay!

Glad to hear you, Mae and the crew are fine. Here at the other end of the State things haven't been so bad. Could get 3/4" of rain today, but that's a spring shower for us! You guys won't have a problem with looters I would imagine...

Not a huge letter writer, but once the Amazon list is up, I'll see what I can do
