I am attending a wedding in Denver and could and still may, just simply fly there the day before. However, I have always wanted to drive west, I've only ever run the east coast. I also have a bike I think can do the journey with a few minor maintenance points. Also it has been 4 years since I had 3 days in a row off.
However, Murphy was an optimist! I have 3 episodes to prep before I can go, plus wrapping editing on the Maxim. I have to prep for the trip, stay in good health, avoid wet weather, not blow any tires, etc and so forth.
You get the idea.
BUT! IF things go well over the next few weeks I will try to give 24 hours notice of my ability and time to get by the WWI Museum and try for some dinner in Kansas City. Big IF right now, and very hazy bet on the 20th as the date.

If you haven't gone there yet you might check theworldwar website to see if you might be interested in the research center. Like someone else already mentioned. I would be glad to take a vacation day just to shake your hand and thank you for all your hard work. I'm sure most of us KC area fans would do anything we could to make your stop here more enjoyable.

My wife and I live downtown KC about 10 minutes from the WONDERFUL World War One National Museum/Monument. PLEASE take the time to go - you will be very glad you did and please do not cut yourself short on time. There is much to see and it is worth the time. This museum for me brings so many things together - Patriotism - I am a history nut and armed conflict between man are tragic yet so compelling to investigate - my love for our veterans - and a life-long love of firearms. Believe me - you will be glad to took the time and the C&R team has worked hard for this small amount of time off. (I too tend to be a workaholic so I do understand) Anyway - please keep us updated and let me know if you need some restaurant recommendations! WE ARE BLESSED IN KC with sooooooo many wonderful restaurants. As good or better than Chicago - and yes I did love in Chicago for over 10 years... Enjoy your time and please let us know if you need any advice on the "local color"!!!

If you have to run yourself ragged just to take some time off then what's the point? Take a break, plan the trip, go relax.

We spent all day there once (second time) and still didn't see everything. They really should have C&Rsenal on loop in some corner of the museum. The number of firearms I recognized there and was able to appreciate for their history went up exponentially between the first and second trips, largely thanks to you and your crew, Othias.
