There were for quite a while!

I have a slightly off topic question, it seems that the US used a lot of Model 1917 rifles in WWI. Were there more 1917s than l903 Springfields?

you know how the more attractive a woman is the crazier she usually is? Now imagine everyone got a hotter girlfriend every year and eventually crimes of passion got so bad from the accompanying crazy that limits on how hot someone's girlfriend can be were silently put in place. The speedwars are kind of like that but with motorcycles instead of women.

Only, you know, cutting out the courting & marriage hassle, and going str8 to bitter divorce? ;-D

Bruce Brodnax

Speedwars? Is that anything like speed dating?

Bruce Brodnax

I wish I had that time and those resources.

C&Rsenal

Yep. The XS1100 is actually highest on my want list. But this was too cheap to pass up.

C&Rsenal

Yep, the sear must drop. This is why you see later hammer fires with firing pin locks etc.

C&Rsenal

For real

Othais please do a thing on the speedwars!

Nice bikes! The new one an FJ1100? I used to own an XS Eleven, and have [about to sell] one of the very rare GL1200 Roadsters [no hard # is known, but it is surmised that Honda built somewhere less than 5,000 of that model, only year of production...] Ride on!

If I understand the sear - striker interaction correctly, this gun is more drop safe than both the 1911 and the GP 35, because, unless the sear is disengaged or breakes, the striker isn't going to touch the primer, even in the event of a fall, whereas in the 1911 and GP 35 the firing pin is inertial. Am I figuring this out the right way?

Perhaps it would be safer not to test the effectiveness of the safety with a thumb on the back of the slide and a live round in the chamber?

Amazing

Kravenar Games

Awesome

How I wish I could find a contact to get you into the Russian military collections. They are terribly obscure.
