A concise post about my schedule!
Added 2024-07-17 00:16:06 +0000 UTCAfter fenangling for a while as for what works best for both me (so i’m not overwhelmed) and my clients (so they don’t have to wait MONTHS to get their art), I’ve finally gotten a pretty good organized solution to getting art done! Here it is, and you all can also reference it when you’re wondering when i’ll work on something if yours!
• Monday: Wrap up weekend sketches
• Tuesday - Thursday: Commissions and YCHes.
• Friday: Patreon rewards. If they’re done for the month, getting ahead with other commissions and yches, or making a new ych or two.
Typical hours are usually between 11 and 9 pm. This MAY vary but this is what it’s been most consistently.
Turnaround time for most commissions and YCHes are 2 weeks. 1 week from the time of commissioning is when you’ll get a sketch WIP, second week is when it’s wrapped up. Of course this can be longer if your piece is something more complex (comic pages or very detailed ref sheets).
Hope this provides transparency for you all as far as the method to my madness. It’s certainly helped preventing burnout and I’m pretty satisfied with this schedule I’ve worked out for myself.
