Detailed (Long-ish) Update: This week
Added 2024-02-27 20:24:28 +0000 UTC
So it’s been crazy lately. I’ve been pushing myself to meet a certain quota because California 👏 ain’t 👏 cheap 👏 which meant I had to up my work to doing this pretty much full time.
with that adjustment came my Patreon, more YCHes, and weekend sketches every weekend without missing a beat.
That does mean I have a LOT more on my plate than usual and honestly as stressful as it can be, I’m extremely thankful for the support I’ve been getting from my watchers and my patrons!
Because I am still new to Patreon, I’m still figuring out how to manage my time here and how to make it the MOST beneficial to you guys and future patrons, as well as setting a consistent enough schedule so I don’t fall behind on things like polls, pinups, and rewards, as well as keeping on top of what all is going on in FA.
Now onto what will be done this week, Patreon:
- 1 commission (semiceri)
- Charizard Feb pinup
- Opening commissions: early Patreon release (Trying for Wednesday, like with weekend sketches)
FA:
- All current YCHes (x7)
- Opening commissions: later public release
Trying for this week, if there is time:
- Set up Patreon chat (Telegram)
thank you all again for your patience, patronage, and support! 😭

I won’t go deep into it but there’s this thing called the agile manifesto. It’s more for software development but there’s one part that I think applies to all fields. In summary: you should be able to take on a level of work that you maintain indefinitely. Of course companies read this as “you should be able to take on infinite work all at once.” No. It means that you are working at a level that things get done at a consistent pace and you don’t get burnt out. Having breaks to recharge is as important as the work that you need to do

2024-02-27 21:41:01 +0000 UTCSomething that works for some people: Schedule your work. If you know how long a picture will take you, basically slot it in and say “I’ll be working on this picture from this time to this time” It’s much more rigid than a lot of artists like to work, but also makes sure that you take on as much as you can handle. Since you do the weekend slots, you know more than most how long it will take you to finish up a specific type of picture. That should help you figure out how long general work can take when taking on other commissions and work. Doing this will let you see how much more work you can take on as well.
