Writing Update: March 2025
Added 2025-03-06 16:00:08 +0000 UTCGoing to try to keep this update short, so not going over things that have been discussed that haven't seen much movement. Just a few things to discuss.
A Thousand Li
A Thousand Li: the Fourth Fall (Book 11 ) is released and been out for a few months. We've got 796 ratings with a 4.6 average. Hoping to crack the thousand ratings amount in the next little while, but you never know with these things. Book 12 will release in July 2025 this year, with a cover reveal expected in the next month or so.
Once again, thank you all for following along (and do review if you haven't!)
For the First Step deluxe edition, that's already arrived in the US and is on the way to the warehouse. Once it arrives, the shipper should start shipping it out to everyone very soon after. So nearly there! It's been quite the journey with a lot of things learnt on our part; but it's well worth it, I will say.
Celestial Cataclysms (A Thousand Li Sequel)
I'm still working on the sequel. We're at 130k words in, with the book likely to crack 200k easily, if not more. It's multiple POV so I'm also going to have a dev editor look into it because I've never tried writing something sooo complicated. Having lots of fun, and yes, a lot of familiar faces in the sequel.
We're releasing chapters right now in the Patreon as mentioned (and all of ATL 12 is out now!) and we expect to see more of this written before it's expected release middle of next year.
System Apocalypse

If you haven't heard, we're getting the System Apocalypse Deluxe Omnibus Edition released on Kickstarter very, very soon! We've already released the first image that is already made and included, there's soooo many more that are so cool. Do follow along with it! There's a TON of things we learnt doing the ATL deluxe edition, and a bunch of things we want to do if we fund. This Omnibus Edition basically includes book 1-3 so there'll only be 4 of them. :)
Craig and Jason are continuing to work on their respective books, hopefully we will have a release for them both later this year.
Magic Kingdom at War
Volume 11 releases very soon on March 7, the final volume in April! That'll be 12 volumes, or nearly a full year of releases in this 4x LitRPG. At which point, we will be done. For those who have followed the series, I hope you enjoyed it.
Note, that at some point, we'll likely pull this series off KU and go wide with it, so if you haven't read it, I'd start soon.
New LitRPG (Dungeon Brawler book 1)
The first few chapters of my new LitRPG are out on Patreon. I'm not exactly certain of the release schedule, though we're likely looking at October. That'll likely mean we're switching up release dates, but I've finished the draft of it already, so readers have a lot to go through. I'm quite happy with the series, it's been fun to write and plans are for it to be a limited 5 book series.
Book 1 btw is 170k... so it's not like they're going to be a SHORT series. :P
Hidden Dishes

Did you pick up Thaumaturgic Tapas? The third novella in the cozy cooking fantasy series is out! Sorcerous Plates will release sometime near the end of this year, or maybe early next year at our current plans. I just have to write it... coughs But it's been a great series and lots of fun writing.
Other Projects & Conventions
I've been good. I don't have any other writing projects scheduled (okay, 2 shorts that need to be done; but not in new worlds, I promise!). There are some other projects brewing in the background, but I can't talk of them till stuff is actually finished; but I'm hoping we can announce some of these in the next few months.
I also wanted to mention, due to a number of circumstances including the need to write a TON this year; I'm not going to do many conventions. So I'm not going to LitRPG Con (but Craig, KT, and Jason are attending!), Worldcon or Dragoncon. I am considering visiting World Fantasy Con in Brighton, and will of course be at Word on the Street and Can*Con since they're both (relatively) local.
And that's about it for the updates. As always, if you have questions, do feel free to leave a question or comment below.
