v13.2.1+240913 - Attack section fixes
Added 2024-09-13 09:28:19 +0000 UTCA small update to the sheet, mostly focused on some bugs and the niche case where you have a character with multiple caster classes that use the same ability score and have magic items that boost only one of those casters' spell save DC and/or spell attack bonus. This required a revisiting of how the sheet determines which spellcasting class to link to which cantrip selected on the first page.
And a clarification regarding the title of my previous post - last new WotC 5e content?. This was only in reference to the fact that from now on, WotC will only be publising content for the latest edition of D&D (5.24e or however you want to call it).
In other news, I have disabled comments on the download post - MPMB's Character Tools - get them here!, because there are so many by now that Patreon has a hard time loading them and doesn't give me any push notifications for replies anymore. This meant that I haven't read any new replies on comments on that post for an unknown amount of time, because I'm not in the habit of clicking the "Load more comments" button 25 times just to see if somebody made a new comment.
You are still welcome to comment on any other post as well as join the conversation on the MPMB Discord server.

Overhauled how spells and cantrips in the attack section on the 1st page have their To Hit calculated, fixing issues with magic items granting bonuses where they shouldn’t and not showing the highest DC/To Hit from all spellcasting classes in case of a multiclass.
Overhauled how the sheet decides which ability score to select for spells and cantrips in the attack section on the 1st page.
Improved the error message when importing a faulty add-on script, it now includes more details about the error.
Changed buttons and text in the import script dialogs to refer to the MPMB Community Add-on Script Index.
Added `getProfBonus` function to have an easier syntax for retrieving the proficiency bonus.
Fixed `weaponsAdd.options` not working (MBUG-136, thanks TrackAtNite for reporting).
Fixed `calcChanges.spellCalc` not stacking when they should.
Fixed instances of using deprecated syntax (things not being arrays when they should).

You probably saw it already, but I have a poll up for how the 2024 rules should be implemented in the MPMB sheets: https://www.patreon.com/posts/114179816

2024-10-21 10:06:41 +0000 UTCI think you responded to the wrong post ;) I understand the want for an offline version. One of the things on the wishlist for the web-app is to make it work stand-alone without an internet connection. Just as portable as a PDF, but you'd need a browser instead of Adobe Acrobat to use it.

2024-10-17 20:13:24 +0000 UTCObviously the point of a poll is to find what makes the most patrons happy. I fear that I am in a minority. I have very little interest in a web app. I'm old and stuck on PDF. I like that its in a file on my phone and I can pull it up even when I don't have internet. Everyone I game with uses D&DB. I refuse to, as I don't like supporting solely web based content that I can't keep. I prefer the moderate option, but see that the majority is split between the fastest and slowest options, so I changed my vote to option 1. I'm using D&DB in my group that has already switched to 2024. I don't like it.

2024-10-14 15:10:11 +0000 UTCI'm so pleased to have your pdfs. I am finding the fact that DnD beyond's pdfs have the worst spell pages in existence so difficult for running pen and paper games with kids. It's a big deal to have kids off screens and having a doc I can print that has everything they need is wonderful.

2024-09-30 13:22:00 +0000 UTCYes it has, the SRD for the 2014 version of D&D has been released some time ago. If you are referring to the SRD for the 2024 version of D&D, then that is a different story. That will only be released at the start of 2025, if the information on D&D Beyond is correct.

2024-09-30 13:12:20 +0000 UTCI am curious hasn't the SRD already been released?
Robert Plummer
2024-09-30 12:42:23 +0000 UTCNo, that will be announced clearly when that happens. But don't hold your breath, because it is both a lot of work and I'm unsure if I can legally release a version before the SRD is released in February 2025.
