So close, yet so far, another beta: v13.0.0.beta32

I had a plan this month, v13 stable would be done at the end and posted online, no matter what. Except, I didn’t count on somebody exposing a tough bug on the second to last day. As this bug has to do with the Class Feature Variants, which were recently announced to become official content, I didn’t want to publish something without having some time to let it be tested.

If the next week doesn’t see another compromising bug, I can guarantee you that v13 stable will be released by coming Monday. I had really wished it to be done in August, finally, but September it will have to be.

So please test this beta again and let me know anything that you find. Small bugs won’t be cause for a new beta release, they will just be fixed in the v13 stable.

The bug that has been fixed needed some re-writing of the spell selection dialogs and as such I could implement something that I had been working on: typing in your spells instead of scrolling through a tiny drop-down box!

Just take care to use TAB to get the field to complete and not ENTER, as ENTER will still close the dialogue (after processing what you typed).

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! There is indeed something wrong with ritual spells in beta32. I'm planning on releasing a beta33 today with a fix.

Major bug with importing character sheets pre v13.32 beta where the the character has spells with ritual tag. To reproduce: 1) Create a level 1 Wizard in V13.31 or lower with Alarm 2) Import character into V13.32 3) Open spell dialog up. You'll notice that there are missing spells (namely Alarm) and any other spell that has the ritual tag in the name. Also entering Alarm via text comes up with the selection dialog, but fails to add with an error message saying "The text you entered doesn't match any (part) of the spells in the drop-down box, or was too short to match. The box will now be cleared." Trying to type in "Comprehend Lang" will automatically show that error message without a selection popup at all.

Thank you for reporting this bug as well! And yes it is a bug, it was always the intention to have unrecognized magic items retain their manually added text. This will also be fixed in the next version! P.S. You now have "Sending Stone" as a magic item, but if you'd added "Sending Stones" it would've been recognized by the sheet's automation.

One persistent annoyance when converting old versions is that you delete text for unrecognized magic items etc. Is it possible to retain that? It's a major pain to go through comparing old and new and copying the old text back over.

Confused where to report bugs: here? In the actual page with v32? On the Discord channel. I'll put it here and then re-report if necessary: 1. Moon Druid with Wild Shapes 2. When first converted (from 13.20), the Druid's prof bonus is not applied to stats they are proficient in, even though the Wild Shape Options>Calculaton options>Use Druid's prof bonus if proficient is set. 3. Switch to a different calculation option and then switch back and now they are calculated correctly Btw, it is mind-bogglingly complicated to do Wild Shapes on a Character sheet, so h/t to you for your long-time support of that

Thank you for reporting this bug! All ritual spells indeed seem to be omitted by the sheet. I found the issue and will make sure it is fixed in the next version.
