v13.0.0beta27

Those of you who have access to the shared folder on Dropbox or Google Drive might already have noticed, a new beta is upon us!

This one fixes the mess that was v13.0.0beta26 and adds the Unearthed Arcana 2020: Subclasses, Part 3.

I waited this long to post the beta because I was busy with another often-requested project, which I can happily announce is finished: the import script for the Blood Hunter class by Matthew Mercer, version 2020. A big thanks to Smashman for his help with creating this script!

You can find the Blood Hunter 2020 import script here on my GitHub, as well as in the shared folder on Dropbox and Google Drive, for the Scholar-tiers among you. Note that this script is only compatible with v13.0.0beta27 (and forthcoming versions).

This is getting repetitive, I agree. I have been promising you to release a stable version once my website is up, but I haven't really found the time to work on my website ever since I lost (most of) the content of the prototype is was working on. Well, no longer! I promise you that I will not work on any new features or content until a stable version 13 is available for everybody, for free. Whether that be on my own website or not.

I might still post a new beta version, if there are more (important) bugs that need fixing.


I understand how inconvenient the limitation on importing from betas has been and like to remedy this issue. Because beta14 through beta27 have no underlying changes in the fields or functions, it will be possible to import between beta14 through beta27 without issue. Also, you can expect to be able to import your character from beta14 through beta27 over to the final v13.

One caveat, if you are importing from a beta15 or beta16 that has a duplication error with the ability score increase from magic items, than that duplication error will also be brought over into this beta.

So please don’t hesitate to use this beta as your full character sheet, there shouldn’t be any issues bringing anything from it along over to the stable release of v13.

However, it still won’t be possible to import from betas older than beta14 (v13.0.0beta - v13.0.0beta13), as they do have different fields and/or functions that won't translate.

Is there any way to move overflowing class features automatically to the notes page? Right now it moves just 1 class feature but not everything that overflows.

Thank you very much for reporting any issues you find with the betas. This is a known bug that many people are reporting. It will be fixed in the next beta! Also, the two bugs you are describing are related. You can expect both to be fixed in the next version!

I leveled a druid to 9 and a multiclassed cleric/fighter to 2/1. After the level dialog it did not correctly update the number of spells available for either. The cleric did not get more spells available and the druid did not get 5th level spells on the spell sheet. To recap the now second level cleric spell sheet did not update with the new class levels and spells available. The 9th level druid did not get access to 5 level spells on the spell sheet.

Error/bug report- when loading the beta27 pdf of a saved character (level 1 Water Genasi Horizon Walker Ranger with the Class Variant UA from November) I got this as a pop up: The script '2020/02/28 - all_WotC_pub+UA.min.js' is faulty, it returns the following error when run: "ReferenceError:natExplFea is not defined" The script has been removed from this pdf. Related/unrelated, while poking around with the character sheet and leveling her up to level 3, I currently can't get the Fighting Style to show the Druidic Warrior option (although it does show the other variant choices- Blind, Interception, Thrown Weapon, and Unarmed), nor can I see the extra spell options added to her spell choice selection. I don't have Revised Ranger running on my pdf. Help would be appreciated! Thanks :) Edit: I'm able to see the Druidic Warrior/spell list stuff on a fresh creation of a level 2 Ranger (no subclass selected). On leveling up to level 3 everything seems to be in order. I'm guessing my issue has to do with prematurely selecting a subclass?

I found an issue when leveling up a Rogue Assassin. After I create a sheet (doesn't matter if imported or created from scratch) then increase the Rogue level, sneak attack breaks. My sheet was level 3 and I changed it to 4. Here's the error: The custom ApplyWeapon/atkAdd script 'Rogue: Sneak Attack' produced an error! It will be removed from the sheet for now, but please contact the author of the feature to have this issue corrected: ReferenceError: classes is not defined fileName: Document-Level:Functions0; lineNumber: 1030; columnNumber: 0;

A change in v13 is that spells gained from features (like racial spells), that have a casting time listed on the spell sheet page, are not also listed in the action section. The idea is that these are covered by the general action "Cast a Spell" and the fact that there is limited space in the action section. You can still manually add them if you'd like the reminder that they are an option.

No, I had this exact problem with a Warlock, and it is not just at level 1- I imported a level 4 sheet, tried to go to level 5, and it neither increased spell level or count.

Hi, Not sure if this was just mine but the spells don't upscale when I level spell casters. It remains at level 1. Will need your advise on this if I am missing anything.

Aaron, I replied to your previous comment but I think you deleted it. Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the beta. And thank you for including a step-by-step walkthrough of how to reproduce the problem. Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this. If you could send me (a link to) the PDF that you have that shows this error, that would be grand! EDIT: Correction! I can see your previous comment on my desktop, but not on mobile, weirdly enough. So you probably didn't delete it and Patreon is just being weird.

I was using the printer friendly redesign version of the sheet. I included all the sources when opening it including the UA content. I setup the race as levistus tiefling, put in background of failed merchant from acquisitions, set the chacter as 9 psionic wizard from UA, 1 hexblade and added stats with 1 class asi (other went to feat). I then chose the skills and added the Thieves' Tools (Dex) and selected the proficiency radial button. It only added the stat based bonus. Same thing happened when i selected the expertise raidal button. I saved the sheet if you would like to see it.

Sure i opened the sheet (printer friendly revised) and added all the content including ua, filled in race first, stats, then set to Level 9 psionic wizard from recent ua, level 1 hexblade, added first asi to intelligence and saved the other for a feat (didnt add yet. Added failed merchant background from acquisition inc. Lastly is filled in the skills and added Thieves' Tools (dex) and selected the radial button for proficiency. It stayed as the dex only mod (+3) instead of dex and prof of +7. Hope that helps. I have the sheet saved if you need it.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! I am not able to reproduce the problems that you are describing. I added the tool "Musical Instrument (Cha)" and it works in all types of the sheet (Colourful A4/Letter, Printer Friendly, and -Redesign). Of course, I did also have to fill out the charisma score and select at least 1 level in a class so that there was any proficiency bonus. Can you please walk me through how to get the sheet to show this issue, starting with a freshly downloaded v13.0.0beta27?

I noticed that this sheet cannot add proficiency/expertise bonus for Tools added to the skill section. Checking them has no effect on the skill bonus. Had to show the modifiers and manually add

I confess I required some form of electronic sheet (and yours is clearly the best by light years). But I have 4 20 somethings and 2 50 somethings so that worked ok.

Thanks! I hope your players will appreciate the changes in v13 a bit more than mine (they are old and some prefer using pen & paper over anything I give them).

Yay! I think you're making a great decision to focus on a stable v13 release and not chase the lastest new UA. My players are mostly still on v12 but v13 has so much goodness that I'd like them to have!
