Happy new year everyone!
(That is still normal to say after 10 days, right? It is in the Netherlands, at least.)

This is a small update. It doesn't bring a lot of changes, just some new content (Unearthed Arcana: Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard - the psionic stuff) and some minor bugfixes. Getting the sheet to work well with spells and psionics (UA: The Mystic Class) by the same name was an unexpectedly hard challenge, but it should now all work as expected. As always, please let me know if you find any bugs or anything not working as expected.

I was going to make another link-post so that it would be easier to find the actual downloads, but Patreon has made it impossible to link to another Patreon post. Why you ask? Beats me... the people over at Patreon are constantly adding new features but there seems to be more of a rush for new features then doing proper testing or asking the users what they want. I would be more annoyed if I wasn't guilty of the same thing.

Why not release v13 right now you ask? The answer is the same as for the previous three beta releases: I would like to (finally) have a website up and running where I can host it, with a dedicated way for bug reporting and frequently asked questions. You might have noticed that none of the bookmarks that link to my website work at the moment. I would like for that to be remedied before releasing v13 outside of this Patreon. I came a long way with making the website, but stopped working on it as I was putting more time and effort towards finishing the support for magic items. The website is working, it just needs contents, so that is what I’ll be focussing on next. 



I understand how inconvenient the limitation on importing from betas has been and like to remedy this issue. Because beta14 through beta24 have no underlying changes in the fields or functions, it will be possible to import between beta14 through beta24 without issue. Also, you can expect to be able to import your character from beta14 through beta24 over to the final v13.

One caveat, if you are importing from a beta15 or beta16 that has a duplication error with the ability score increase from magic items, than that duplication error will also be brought over into this beta.

So please don’t hesitate to use this beta as your full character sheet, there shouldn’t be any issues bringing anything from it along over to the stable release of v13.

However, it still won’t be possible to import from betas older than beta14 (v13.0.0beta - v13.0.0beta13), as they do have different fields and/or functions that won't translate.

When there is an official WotC-published player race for the Gnoll, than I will certainly do so. However, there isn't as far as I'm aware. Although I love adding new content to the sheet's automation, making the content fit in the sheet nicely takes a lot of time. Because of that, I limit myself to WotC content. Any other material will not become part of the sheet by default, but might become available on my GitHub if a Sorcerer-tier or higher patron makes a request or on the /r/mpmb subreddit if a fan writes a script for it. To get additional content for the sheet that isn't yet available, you have three options: 1) Become a Sorcerer-tier (or higher) patron and I will make one addition for you each month; 2) Ask somebody else to write the content for you. Requests are best made over at the /r/mpmb subreddit ( https://reddit.com/r/mpmb ); 3) Write the script yourself using the syntax on my GitHub ( https://flapkan.com/mpmb/syntax ). Don't forget to check if somebody else has already made the content you are looking for. The /r/mpmb subreddit is the best place to look for it ( https://reddit.com/r/mpmb ). In the past I have made some third-party content like the DMs Guild material by Matthew Mercer, but I currently have no plans of transcribing any other third-party material to be used with the sheet.

Pre-season 8 I used your logsheets for adventurer's league exclusively because of the scripts letting me add a sheet. I checked your new sheets and I don't see the appropriate information for Season 9 that doesn't use xp according to AL rules. Is there a way to open a logsheet that uses the new values?

This is indeed a bigger ask and not something that is as easily implemented. I have been toying with a way to automatically move overflow from the Class Feature section into the Notes page. I didn't even realize that it wouldn't fit nicely on the Notes page of the Printer-Friendly version and that I would have to change that. This is not an issue with the Colourful version (which I primarily use). For now it is on the wishlist of the stuff that will be voted upon once v13 is done. I expect a lot of people will want to see this feature addition.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the beta! Apologies for taking a bit longer to respond, I tackled the easier things before moving onto the Fighting Style issue. I now have a working solution and will make sure it is implemented for the next version, making it so that the Brute also has all the Fighting Style options. And thank you for reporting the mix up with the Staff of Thunder & Lightning, it will also be fixed in the next version of the sheet.

Did you look in the Attack section of the Colourful sheet, where it reads "Attacks per Action"? I think you missed in my previous reply to you that they are displayed in different areas in the different sheets, Colourful and Printer Friendly.

receive the below error when adding darts as a weapon for sharpshooter fighter with thrown weapon fighting style. The custom CalcAttackDmgHit/atkCalc script 'Sharpshooter: Steady Aim' produced an error! It will be removed from the sheet for now, but please contact the author of the feature to have this issue corrected: ReferenceError: WeaponText is not defined fileName: Document-Level:FunctionsImport; lineNumber: 2428; columnNumber: 0;

Thanks for pointing out it was a problem with things on my end! I'm working on a different laptop than I was primarily using for the 12.999 sheet and I made a very silly mistake when I tested the older sheet with the newer laptop prior to posting my comment... I only tried entering long text into the Magic Item field, which of course wasn't a drop down on that version! In any case, my fix was to change a setting in Acrobat Reader DC's preferences: Edit &gt; Preferences &gt; General &gt; Scale for Screen Resolution (restart required): No Scaling My old laptop works fine even with that setting on its default of "Auto-Detect", but it's running Windows 7 and has a different screen resolution. My new laptop with Windows 10 needed it set to "No Scaling". I'm sorry to suggest the problem popped up from a change in the sheet, but hopefully adding another tip to try in resolving the problem will be helpful for others who run into it on their end.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! This is not so much a bug as it is the result of changes in how feats work in v12.999 compared to v13 of the sheet. Because Spell Sniper no longer works by class names but by spellcasting ability score (to make the code more efficient), the sheet can't import the old feat correctly, you will have to remove it and re-add it again after importing like you have done. And because it is now based on ability score, the sheet doesn't see it as a "wizard" spell, thus not adding the bonus from Empowered Evocation. An easy work-around is to simply add the cantrip in the Bonus Spells column of the wizard's spell selection dialog. Or to increase the number of cantrips that you can select there and add the Spell Sniper cantrip there. That being said, I agree with you that this is not great and that it could work better. Thus, I have decided that for the next version of the sheet I will change the Spell Sniper feat to once again work for each class independently, making it so that Empowered Evocation should work along with it. The downside of this is that it still won't import your Spell Sniper spell selection from v12.999, but it will recognize it correctly. Another downside is that importing from any of the other betas into the next beta will again see the Spell Sniper feat not recognized correctly, because now it has the spellcasting ability score in its name and not the class. But I guess that is why they are betas ;)

Welcome to my Patreon! To save space, the Extra Attack feature is never added to the Class Features section on the second page. The reason for this is that it is a very common class feature with the same description for every class. The same goes for Ability Score Improvements. Both these things are displayed elsewhere on the sheet. Extra Attack is displayed in the "Attacks per Action" box on the Colourful versions or in the "Action" section on the Printer Friendly versions. Ability Score Improvements are shown in the scores selection dialog (click on "Ability Scores" bookmark to show).

I can assure you this is not something the matter with changes to the sheet in the newer version, because I'm experiencing no such issue. This has to do with a bug with Adobe Acrobat. Similar issues regarding the drop-down boxes seems to be popping up for more and more people. Unfortunately it is unclear what is causing this. My best guess that it has something to do with an automated update that unexpectedly broke something, most likely an update of Acrobat, Windows, graphic drivers, or a weird combination of all the above. Can you please confirm that if you open a freshly downloaded v12.999 you can type long texts in drop-down boxes without issue? All the drop-down boxes are set to automatically scale the text in them. This is not something I changed since v3 of the sheet (from 2014)! Long story short, it is hard to point at something that is the cause as different people have found different solutions. The things you could take a look at that solved it for people: • DPI scaling and accessibility setting in your operating system. • Settings or driver(s) for your GPU or other graphic adapters. • Uninstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader, running the cleaner ( https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html ), rebooting, and installing it again: https://get.adobe.com/reader • Updating Windows 10 You can test if it is the settings by booting your machine into safe mode and/or making another user on your machine and seeing if the same thing happens under that user account. One patron reported that the issue was only solved after a fresh install of Windows 10. Thus you can always try that as a last resort.

I think the internet ate my last comment about this, but all of the text fields with drop down menus (Background, Feat, Magic Item, Organization, etc.) seem to have arbitrary character limits on version 13 of the sheet compared to version 12.999. Items selected from the drop down can exceed these limits (such as selecting "Gauntlets of Ogre Power" from the drop down for Magic Items), but if one were to try to put in a custom name of the same lenght which is not tied to the database then it will be truncated quite a bit. For example, on a version 12.999 sheet I had no trouble manually entering in "Knights of the Mystic Fire" under the Organization field, but when I try that in version 13.0.0.beta24 I can only get as far as "Knights of the Mystic Fi" before it stops accepting input.

I'm brand new to both D&D and the Patreon, so apologies if this has been reported, or if I'm in the wrong place to post. I love this sheet! Thank you! That said: I'm making my first character, starting at lvl 7 on the Colorful PDF, and I've noticed that the lvl 6 "Extra Attack" ability from the "College of Valor" subclass isn't added. It shows up under actions for the printer friendly - revised PDF. Everything else is great so far! Thanks again!

In beta24, I noticed that the Spell Sniper [Wizard] feat is acting weirdly. The pop-up to set the spells in the spell sheet does not allow me to select any spells. I tried adding the cantrip in the "bonus spells" area but that didnt mark the spell as "at will". Additionally, the cantrip is not getting the evoker +INT to the damage. The character was imported from a v12.999 version of the character and leveled up if that makes a difference. I did add and remove the "Spell Sniper" feat and was able to get a "Spell Sniper [Intelligence]" in the set spells area. And I do see the "At will" on the spell sheet but it doesnt get the +INT bonus to damage from the evoker.

Also, this might be a bit of a big ask, but would it be possible to add an option to the Notes page (or an additional Notes page) which isn't symmetrical so that the left section is the same width as the Class Features section from the Character Sheet Back and the Notes section from the Additional Sheet? I frequently build characters with three or more classes and find myself cutting/pasting spillover class feature descriptions onto the notes page so they'll all be viewable on a printout, but the formatting is very messy with the smaller width of the columns on the Notes sheet compared to the other notes sections. I realize there may be people who are perfectly happy with the Notes page as it is, so please only add my request if it's possible to do so as an additional option rather than a replacement.

I noticed a tiny omission on the Brute subclass for Fighters. Choose Feature > Fighting Style for level 1 correctly lists all of the Unearthed Arcana fighting styles in addition to the Players Handbook ones, but Choose Feature > Additional Fighting Style for level 10 only lists the Players Handbook ones. I also noticed a tiny error on the Staff of Thunder & Lightning description added to the Notes Page. Currently it reads: • Thunder. When I hit with a melee attack using the staff, I can cause the target to take an extra 2d6 lightning damage. • Lightning. When I hit with a melee attack using the staff, I can cause the staff to emit a crack of thunder, audible out to 300 ft. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or become stunned until the end of my next turn. The headers Thunder and Lightning should be swapped to match up with the appropriate descriptions (Lightning is listed first in the Dungeon Masters Guide). The rest of the text is correct.

Might it be that you imported some other custom scripts to your beta19 sheet? If so, those scripts are imported along and might override the Aasimar variants, causing them to be unavailable completely. Otherwise I have no idea what might be causing this. I just tested this by making a Scourge Aasimar in beta19 and imported it to beta24. The Racial Options button appears as expected and I can select the Winged option with it. If you can, please send me (a link to) your beta19 sheet so that I can have a look what could be causing this issue.

I did try to make a fresh copy of the character without the import and I see the pop-up which gives the "winged" option and see the "racial options" button. I guess maybe the import from v19 is the issue?

I am using the "v13.0.0beta24 (Printer Friendly)" version on Windows 10 using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. 1) Opened the PDF, and clicked "OK" on first pop-up. I made no changes to the source book selector as all of the AL books are listed with the v9.1 ALPG and clicked "apply". 2) I imported the character from a beta19 version on the character which was "Aasmiar, Scourge". 3) I tried to select version Aasimar races but never seem to have the "Racial Options" button.

[1] Would you mind walking me through how to get the sheet to show this issue? Starting with a freshly downloaded v13.0.0beta24 sheet, what are the steps you take to get the sheet to show this? [2] Also, can you please tell me what version of Adobe Acrobat you are using (version number and type like "Pro" or "Reader")? To see this information, go to Help &gt;&gt; About Adobe Acrobat. [3] Lastly, what operating system are you using (Windows / Mac OS X) and what version?

The race selected was "Aasimar, Scourge" from Volo's Guide page 104. The "AL Player's Guide v9.1" is selected in the source book selector; I am using the default source book configuration for beta24. I don't see the "Racial Options" button on the "Racial Trails" box like I see for the Variant Humans. When I select "Human" race, I see the "Racial Options" button to select Variant Humans. When I select "Aasimar, Scourge" the button goes away. I tried this on the v23 beta and have the same issue.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! There is indeed a small mistake with the Mind Sliver spell for the UA:FRnW source. I will make sure this is fixed in the next version of the sheets! I was going to suggest including the UA:SnW source as a temporary fix until the next version, but I see you already found this work-around.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! However, I have no issue selecting the "Winged" variant for the Aasimar. Do you have the source "AL Player's Guide v9.1: Inglorious Redemption (ALPGs9)" set to be included? Which of the three Aasimar races from VGtM are you using? Note that the winged variant doesn't work for the Aasimar from the DMG (the one that is just "Aasimar" in the race drop-down), you need to select one of the subraces from VGtM (Fallen, Protector, or Scourge). If you have the right source(s) included and select one of the Aasimar subraces, you should get a pop-up that allow you to select the winged variant. And you can always switch between variants with the "Racial Options" button on the second page.

The mind sliver cantrip from the Unearthed Arcana: Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard seems to be missing from the spell selection lists. It does show up in the weapons section. Update: If I include the Sorcerer and Warlock Unearthed Arcana it works. Thanks for your work!
