MorePurpleMoreBetter will be unavailable for two weeks
Added 2019-06-19 21:06:37 +0000 UTCHello everybody,
This is your timely update with the announcement that v13 is finally ... in the next phase and certainly not done yet. Sorry to subvert expectations, but I guess you are all used to this by now.
In about 12 hours I'm flying to Canada for a holiday of two and half weeks. During this time I will have very limited access to the internet (just a phone, but I don't expect to have a lot of opportunity to go on the internet), so please be aware that I won't be able to respond to your messages or comments for a couple of weeks.
I have never been to Canada and this will only be my second time going across the Atlantic. I'm looking forward to visiting the west coast and seeing the Pacific Ocean for the first time. I hope that you can handle me being away for a little bit, but I promise that v13 is going to be my top priority again once I get back.
A small update of what I have been doing these last couple of weeks. I had the pleasure of getting to work on fixing my PC as its power supply had given up, taking its hard drive with it in the process. Good thing I had backups, but unfortunately these kind of things just eat up a lot of time. It also didn't help that I took this opportunity to invest in some upgrades, do a full re-install, and build a PC from the spare parts for my girlfriend.
Lastly, I am proud to announce that I finished catching up with my backlog of Sorcerer- and Soothsayer-tier rewards. Everybody should now have received their requests. If you are a Sorcerer- or Soothsayer-tier subscriber and you haven't received your requested rewards, please let me know! Your submission might have been lost in my confusion of trying to juggle to many things at the same time ;)
Talk to you all in two weeks!

These character sheets do indeed (try to) automate everything for you. simple select things like the race, class, level, background, and ability scores, and the sheet fills all the rest out for you. If you make a free account on ENworld, you can download the stable version of my sheets for free here: https://www.enworld.org/resources/mpmbs-d-d-5e-character-tools.1180 Joining this Patreon is optional and gives you access to the beta versions of the sheet, but you can get them completely free of charge from ENworld.

2019-10-04 13:35:08 +0000 UTCI'm a total noob and unable to reach out to you. Do your forms auto calculate based off class, spec, etc? I'm fairly new but have had to level a few times and fear I've missed certain calculations and if I could invest in a form that already did it I could come home and update #'s knowing everything else corrects... Thank you for your time. I'm sorry for being noob

2019-10-04 06:04:29 +0000 UTCThis is already a feature on the Colourful sheets, where you have checkboxes for advantage and disadvantage for every skill and save. It isn't an option on the Printer Friendly sheets because of space limitations, unfortunately.

2019-07-16 13:25:27 +0000 UTCIf you don't mind (another) kalashtar suggestion, can you add a bit where it indicates which skill that you selected for your Psychic Glamour? Like you do for Disadvantage on Stealth for certain armors?

2019-07-13 18:58:33 +0000 UTCThank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! Turns out the skill description for the Kalashtar in the tooltip is being edited by the function that governs backwards compatibility. That removes the preceding text "Advantage with one:", thus making it look like you get proficiency instead of advantage. I will make sure this is fixed in the next version.

2019-07-12 10:48:17 +0000 UTCI just found a bug - the race Kalashtar gives advantage in your choice of Insight, Intimidation, Persuasion or Performance. Beta17 says in the tooltip hover over the skills section that kalashtar gives you Proficiency. This is incorrect.

2019-07-11 03:15:56 +0000 UTCThank you for reporting this! I had originally thought that the Integrated Protection feature worked as natural armour and should thus not work with things like Defense Fighting Style, but after searching sage advice and the like it seems that the Medium and Heavy armour options should work together with the Defense Fighting Style. I will make sure that is fixed in the next version! For reference: https://www.sageadvice.eu/2018/10/15/was-it-intentional-for-the-the-defense-fighting-style-to-not-work-with-the-warforged/

2019-07-10 07:40:58 +0000 UTCI am unfortunately still unable to reproduce this issue. When I open a v13.0.0beta16 I can't get it to have the wrong AC for a Warforged. Maybe it is best if you send me (a link to) the v13.0.0beta16 sheet you are using with the bug in it. If I upload the v13.0.0beta16 [Printer Friendly-Redesign] to my Dropbox again, would you be so kind to try and use it and see if you can reproduce the issue? Another question, would you mind replying to this comment instead of starting a new comment thread? That way we keep the conversation confined (and easier to read back) instead of spread out. It will also keep replies from being lost when one comment is deleted. And thank you again for sticking with trying to resolve this issue, it is much appreciated.

2019-07-10 07:39:24 +0000 UTCI have noticed a related bug on a fresh v13.0.0beta17 sheet. Defense fighting style doesn't compute with shield and heavy plating (prof). Could be related or connected.

2019-07-09 23:02:20 +0000 UTCOk, on a fresh sheet It works fine. When i export over from v13.0.0beta16 it transfers the bug with it.

2019-07-09 22:59:10 +0000 UTCCan you please walk me through how you did that?

2019-07-09 21:18:56 +0000 UTCI was able to reproduce the error with v13.0.0beta17.

2019-07-09 21:17:31 +0000 UTCOne of the previous betas did have a bug with using proficiency bonus with the armor. It might be v13.0.0beta16, but I would have to check. If you are able to reproduce it with v13.0.0beta17 then it is something of concern, but I expect you won't be able to do so (hopefully) ;)

2019-07-09 20:39:39 +0000 UTCThank you for responding so quickly. My character is level 6 so proficiency is a +3. Which produces an AC of 19 but only reflects 18 in the AC field.
David Street
2019-07-09 20:38:33 +0000 UTCThank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! The Warforged Heavy Plating is AC 16 + Proficiency Bonus. What level is your character? If it is level 1-4, then AC 18 is to be expected. Only from level 5 onwards will it be AC 19 (or more). If this is not the case, can you please walk me through how to reproduce this issue with a freshly downloaded v13.0.0beta17?

2019-07-09 19:37:50 +0000 UTCFound a bug for you when you get back. Warforged Heavy Plating AC calculation. Should calculate AC 19 but only calculates as AC 18.

2019-06-27 15:31:32 +0000 UTCHey dude, Hope your enjoying Canada! Got this error when changing around a multiclass artificer (2017) 6 Fighter Cavalier 3 to artificer (2017) 6 Fighter sharpshooter 3. Wouldn't have bothered you on holiday but the instructions are to let you know :) The custom CalcAttackDmgHit/atkCalc script 'Sharpshooter: Steady Aim' produced an error! It will be removed from the sheet for now, but please contact the author of the feature to have this issue corrected: ReferenceError: isRangedWeapon is not defined fileName: Document-Level:FunctionsImport; lineNumber: 2415; columnNumber: 0;

2019-06-21 20:28:25 +0000 UTCI loved visiting Canada last year, the place is amazing and absolutely gorgeous. Make sure to chuck your phone somewhere deep in the backpack and not worry about it - it'll all still be here when you get back.
