v13.0.0beta14
Added 2019-04-16 15:48:35 +0000 UTCOne month after releasing the previous beta, it is finally time for the next. So I present you with the 14th beta for the thirteenth version of the sheet. This beta doesn’t introduce many changes, mainly fixes, but it does come jam-packed with magic items!
Please try many magic items and report back if any of them don't work as expected.
( https://www.patreon.com/posts/19406992 )
- Addition of all SRD magic items (except artifacts);
- Fixed races with additional carrying capacity (Powerful Build);
- Fixed some spell descriptions;
- Fixed features adding incremental expertise correctly when skill proficiency had been manually selected;
- Added a menu to select magic items with so that you don’t have to scroll through the drop-down box;
- Added functionality to the Ability Score dialog to cap the score (default at 20) and a way for features to change this cap;
- Added the number of allowed choices to the menu in the Choose Feature button;
- Added the options for Expertise for the Rogue and Bard to the Choose Feature button menu;
- Changed how the checkboxes for skill proficiency and expertise function so that checking one also (un)checks the other and that they correctly interact with those set by the automation.
This text is getting a bit redundant as whenever I post a new version the bug reports are both quick and thorough. Please do the same for this new beta!
Just like v13.0.0beta13 and the betas before it, this beta can't import a character from one of the previous betas (v13.0.0beta - v13.0.0beta13). This is a precaution, not a bug! This is done because the sheet can't accommodate all the intermediary changes that I had implemented in the other betas without being too convoluted. You will be able to import from v12.999 and older sheets, as well as from another v13.0.0beta14.

The fact that the superiority die from the Martial Adept feat increases the number of superiority die gained from somewhere else is correct, even if that other source's superiority die is not a d6. This was explained in the PHB errata of 2016. You can find an answer from Jeremy Crawford about this question here: <a href="https://www.sageadvice.eu/2016/08/11/does-the-martial-adept-feat-give-an-additional-d8-superiority-dice-to-battlemaster-fighters/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.sageadvice.eu/2016/08/11/does-the-martial-adept-feat-give-an-additional-d8-superiority-dice-to-battlemaster-fighters/</a> Personally I think they shouldn't have changed the wording of the feat as it was in the first printing of the PHB. They changed "If you already have superiority dice you gain one more, otherwise, you have one superiority die which is a d6" to "You gain one superiority die, which is a d6 (this die is added to any superiority dice you have from another source)", which is arguably more vague, but should convey the same. The issue they tried to address is that with the original wording, your die wouldn't scale if you took the feat before gaining superiority die from any other source. As for choosing the maneuvers. Feats don't have any way of selecting options like that as this is the only feat that would require it and something like that would require some drastic changes to the code for feats. It is not a bug, just a feature that isn't there.

2019-05-04 07:04:57 +0000 UTCA small glitch, and probably not a lot will use this combo. When chosing a battle master fighter, and the feat Martial Adept, it adds another d8 to the Limited Features, it should be a new line with a d6, and still says "chose 3" in the Chose Feature menu (not chose 5). Dont know if its an easy fix, and dont think many will use that cambo.. Was playing around with a character-test :) If you chose the feat and do not already have superiority dice, the text in limited features are correct. You do not get to Chose Feature and chose your maneuvers though.

2019-05-04 06:11:13 +0000 UTCHold down the Ctrl or Shift key while clicking on one of the checkboxes/buttons in the first column. That will bring up a menu with numerous options, one of those being the option to insert any number of empty lines.

2019-04-29 17:53:31 +0000 UTCHow does one manually enter empty lines to move the spell sheets?

2019-04-29 16:37:39 +0000 UTCYou can find that on the Colourful version of the sheets. Something like that simply doesn't fit with the design for the Printer Friendly versions. However, I'm open to implementing this feature if somebody can make an attractive design to implement it with. I just found all my tries to be too ugly to be brought to production.

2019-04-29 16:14:12 +0000 UTCYour imported scripts are brought along when you import a character to a new version. However, if both the sheets contain an import script by the same name, it will not be brought over to avoid overwriting a newer version of the import script.

2019-04-29 16:11:39 +0000 UTCAs in, have the second class' header always start on a new page? That could theoretically be made possible, but it would be a switch to have all the spellcasting features start on a new page. Even those gained from a race, feat, or magic item and thus only contains a handful of spells. You would end up with several pages that have only 2 or 3 spells on them. I found this undesirable at best. You can manually add some empty lines to force this behaviour. However, if you mean to have multiples of the first spell sheet page then no, that is not possible. Because it contains the spell slots and duplicating those across multiple pages would be both confusing and detrimental to the sheets functionality.

2019-04-29 16:08:17 +0000 UTCA wish for future sheets. A checkbox or some other way to mark in the Initiative box that you have advantage. :)

2019-04-29 08:44:24 +0000 UTCI'm sure this is out there, but my searches have not yeilded a result. Is there an easy way to export all custom scripts added to the sheet, into the new sheet. Or do i have to save it all in files and add them all to the new version of the sheet individually? Thx for all your hard work.. Really love what you are doing.

2019-04-29 07:18:53 +0000 UTCSpell slots from Spellcasting and spell slots from Pact Magic are not the same and do not combine. A level 6 character who is level 4 bard and level 2 warlock has the spell slots of a level 4 bard and a level 2 warlock, instead of the spell slots of a level 6 spell caster. Note that the level 2 Warlock's 2 first level spell slots are the only ones that return after a short rest. And if you increase this character to level 3 Warlock, those two spell slots become level 2 spell slots instead.

2019-04-28 06:39:41 +0000 UTCCan there be an option for generating the spell sheets for different classes individually? For instance, a level 1 Wizard / level 3 Cleric would have a sheet for the Wizard spells and then another sheet for the Cleric spells. Would that be possible?

2019-04-28 06:30:59 +0000 UTCThink I found a bug - might be old one. When I created a multi-class level 4 bard with then level 5 and 6 of warlock - the spell sheet page shows 4 circles for my level one spells but then underneath in small type says - "of 6" if this is intended to say I have 6 level 1 spells then its wrong - when multi-classing you max out at 4 level 1 spells to cast no matter what - as on page 165 of the PHB

2019-04-27 22:00:32 +0000 UTCAL season 8 updates will be implemented after v13 is done. I don't have a roadmap as I am working on this all by myself.

2019-04-20 23:57:09 +0000 UTCThank you for reporting any issues you find with the sheet. I have fixed the problem with the Expertise class features in the code and it will thus no longer be an issue in the next beta.

2019-04-19 10:27:31 +0000 UTCThe object corresponding to 'Animal Handling' doesn't exist in the 'expertise' feature. This is a discrepancy between the 'extrachoices' array and the names of the objects. Note that the object name needs to be exactly 'animal handling' (identical, but fully lower case). The object corresponding to 'Sleight of Hand' doesn't exist in the 'expertise' feature. This is a discrepancy between the 'extrachoices' array and the names of the objects. Note that the object name needs to be exactly 'sleight of hand' (identical, but fully lower case).

2019-04-19 10:05:44 +0000 UTCThank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! The code for the 2017 artificer was just off, I have fixed it now and it should work in the next beta!

2019-04-18 06:50:25 +0000 UTCBug Report? - Creating a Gunsmith Artificer (the 2017 Artificer), Char level is 6, 4 levels of Artificer and 2 of Cleric. When I go to choose my Wondrous invention, it says pick 2, but under the info it says I get one. I am wondering if its getting confused by the char lvl vs the class lvl?

2019-04-17 04:52:04 +0000 UTCThis is a bug with Acrobat, not with my sheet. I submitted a bug report to Adobe about it, you can upvote it for visibility: <a href="https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/37292857--bug-report-clicking-an-option-from-a-dropdown-fo" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/37292857--bug-report-clicking-an-option-from-a-dropdown-fo</a>

2019-04-17 04:51:16 +0000 UTCThis is true for any proficiency that has already been gained from another source such as a skill proficiency. For those situations, the sheet expects you to think for yourself.

2019-04-17 00:30:14 +0000 UTCBug report, if you click the Magic Item drop down and begin to type a magic item name, the list will filter, however if you then click one of the filtered options it actually just adds first magic item that starts with the same letter; i.e. type Bracers of Archery and click it, but sheet adds Bag of Beans to the field.

2019-04-17 00:26:25 +0000 UTCNot a bug really, but for Gloom Stalker (and probably Samurai) the sheet doesn't prompt you to pick a different save proficiency if you already have WIS once you hit level 7 (such as by starting in another class or taking Resilient prior to 7).

2019-04-17 00:24:19 +0000 UTCThank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! I seem to have messed up the capitalization of those object names, making them impossible to find for the sheet. I will make sure this is fixed in the next beta!
