v13.0.0beta4

A new beta version is available, fixing the following problems since the last beta (so not including the fixes in v13.0.0beta3):

Besides the above changes, the new beta has also been updated with the latest content additions that were recently added to v12.999.

>> Find v13.0.0beta4 here <<

Scholar-tier and higher subscribers can also find the latest beta version in the shared folder on Dropbox/Google Drive.

I am aware that Avast is detecting the beta4 files as containing a virus. I have sent them a false positive report, again, and hope that this time they take action. They haven’t been able to whitelist any of the previous beta versions, but hopefully this time it will be different…

You aren't missing anything. The Spell-less Ranger only has two subclasses as per the UA. No other ranger subclasses are available for it simply because those are not part of the UA article and none of the ranger subclasses introduced in later UA articles even mention the Spell-less Ranger (unlike the Revised Ranger, which does get mentioned). It is also very possible that (some of) the other subclasses have features that don't fit well with the spell-less ranger (i.e. spells). So I didn't make any judgement calls if they should be added to the spell-less ranger or not.

Not sure if this is a bug or if I am missing something, but when I select Spell-less Ranger from the UA file it only provides two subclasses (Beast master and Hunter) but none of the ones from other sources. Double checked and all the other sources were loaded.

Thank you very much for reporting any bugs you find with the beta! Would you be so kind to send me (a link to) the v12.999 PDF that you are importing from? Than I can test the import for myself and see what is going wrong! I'm not sure from your description, but I'm assuming that you have added the 9th level spells to the spell selection dialog AND have them displayed on the spell sheets in the v12.999 sheet you are importing from. The import tries to duplicate the state of the sheet you are importing from. So if you don't have the 9th level spells currently displayed on the spell sheets in the v12.999 version, the import will also not have them visible. They should still be there in the spell selection dialog though, if they are also thee in the v12.999 you are importing from. Can you confirm that the spell selection dialogs are also missing the 9th level spells after the import? Note that when you generate a spell sheet, you can select which spells will be displayed (see the radio buttons in the bottom right corner). By default the option will be selected to only shows the spells that you can actually cast, but you can set it to display all the spells that are in your spellbook by selecting one of the other options.

I may have found a bug. I used one of your 12.999 sheets. Imported the data to the beta 4 sheet from the old one. It only shows up to 8th level spells even though I have 9th level spells in my spell book that I added. My character is fighter 1 bladesinger 16. Is it on purpose that it doesn't show the 9th level spells because I can't cast them yet, is it a bug, or something I am doing wrong possibly?

Which Chaos Bolt are you referring to, to the one in XGtE or from UA: Starter Spells? They do different damage and are both correctly in the sheet, I just checked. XGtE version does 2d8+1d6 damage and an extra 1d6 for each spell slot above 1st. The UA version does 2d8 damage and an extra 1d6 for each spell slot above 1st. Or do you have the sheet saying something else?

Other than avast complaining, I didn't notice anything wrong with a character import. It was much faster than the 12.9 sheet though.

No issue till recently

Dagnir78 (Mark)

The only two posting about it, but often that is an indication that there are more people with the same issue. It is often just an isolated case, or many cases ;)

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Will do. Thanks for the info. Is me and that one guy only ones with the issue?

Dagnir78 (Mark)

Thank you for this info. Turns out, you are using the exact same AVG and virus definition version as the other user who reported an issue (Jim Bragg). I don't know if you know this, but you can set AVG to exclude files/folders from being scanned, thus making it possible to use the sheets without AVG interfering. I wrote about how to do this in the v13.0.0beta3 announcement post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/v13-0-0beta3-and-19541534

That is unfortunate to hear. The false positives on these files keeps being a big annoyance... This problem was also just reported over on the download post for the Betas ( https://www.patreon.com/posts/mpmbs-beta-get-19406992?cid=14231578 ). I have since wrote another false positive report to AVG, even though I can't get AVG to see the files as containing a virus. Would you mind providing your AVG version number, AVG virus database number, and name of operating system you are using? I can forward this in my next communication with AVG. Of course, it is also still helpful if you report the file as a false positive to AVG as well.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

And avg just labeled it as a virus.
