What will be the next feature?

The poll for what to add to version 13 has closed and adding a 'major' feature has won by a fairly big margin.

Unlike that previous poll, this one is a close race! So please vote on what you would like to see added next.

I have set this poll to stay open for a bit longer as I won't be able to work on the sheet for the next week and a half as I'm going abroad and have been blessed to be invited to a total of three weddings, all of them taking place next week. Even though I won't have much time to work on code for the sheet nor will I have any time to play D&D, I will still try to answer any questions you have, fix any bugs you find, and think of new additions for the sheet ;)

EDIT: I have extended the duration of this poll because it is such a close race and I won't be able to start working on the new feature until next week anyway :)

I'd like to put in a request for a Conditions and Exhaustion box in the Printer-Friendly version. Love the sheet.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I am not able to change the size of the font of the drop-down boxes. That is something that is set by the combination of you OS settings, Adobe Acrobat, and your graphic driver. If you want to change how this font is displayed, please contact Adobe.

Can I put in a request for a future update? Is there any way to change the size of the font in the drop down windows? When trying to select a race or a weapon the writing is so small I can't hardly read it.

The work on Magic Item automation has begun, but it has been a very slow process so far because of IRL events. I have no ETA for you. I hope this will be done before the end of July.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I'm curious, it looks like we have a winner here. I'm not trying to seem pushy, just a bit excited for this. Do we have an approximate eta on the core code of this being written so we can help implement it in full?

Resizing dynamically is unfortunately not possible in an AcroForm. For that I would need different software and build the sheet from scratch as a Dynamic XML Form. But even if I did all that, the graphics wouldn't resize along with the field, so it still wouldn't work.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

What about being able to resize the magic item description boxes? Some of the item descriptions are so long it's really hard to fit in just a few lines? Might help if that's the new feature. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Automation for magic weapons is something I would love to see. Things like a Staff of Power are so hard to do manually.

Erik T.

I would love to make something like that, but I think that would work best as a web-form (because it needs to be a dynamic form), but my knowledge of website building is extremely lacking....

This is something on my wishlist as well. I envision as a webpage/document with screenshots that help navigate the character sheet. Even better would be an in-sheet help guide but that is very difficult to make in Adobe Acrobat. If I ever find the time...

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Whew, it's close but I'm still hoping for the magic item automation.

Would it be a possibility to maybe make a tool for adding home brew material without learning syntax.

Id love to see a character creation walkthrough. My first ever game as a DM is in a few days and all bar one of my players is new to dnd and i had to explain character creation and walk them through your sheet. They didnt miss anything though :)

Daniel Parkin

I know there is a spell data .JSON file but there might be one for magic items, or maybe the fantasy ground format.

Drewbot

I most certainly will! Condensing magic items down to fit into the (very) limited space on the sheet is quite a challenge, and there are so many of them... Not to mention all the automation challenges that the different types of magic items offer :P

MorePurpleMoreBetter

If magic item automation wins, will you need help inputting the magic items?
