Hearing Brie list off the people who attended this wedding, I'm surprised they didn't drone strike it.

Briahna has been doing the right thing by being transparent about the friendship with Marianne. She has talked more about RFK Jr. than Marianne. Most of Bad Faith's episodes have not been primarily about those two Presidential candidates and their policies and their controversies. Most of Bad Faith's episodes have been about a variety of other topics (East Palestine, Supreme Court, Transgender rights, Geopolitical economics etc.) with the debate about the general principle about whether or not it's worth it to vote in the Democratic Primary for a more progressive alternative to Biden coming up in conversations with guests who were there to talk about a variety of topics. These were general conversations about the general principle about whether or not it's worth it to vote in this primary or any other Democratic primary. The Bad Faith coverage has not pretended to be focused on an in-depth report of all the policies/controversies of MW and RFK Jr. so it is not fair to accuse Bad Faith of doing the wrong thing by not talking about every controversy.

It doesn't matter BJG mentioned her friendship once; she should have mentioned it every time she covered her on her news show and her podcasts about her, if not necessarily on her callin. More importantly, her coverage--like the others--of Marianne has been soft. She barely, if at all, addressed Marianne's attacking a black activist and smearing him as an "Anti-Semite"....or MW's poor reparations program he exposed. When people brought up her terrible warmongering history, Zionism, or militaristic Ukraine policy, Brie has defended them by saying Bernie felt the same....or dismissed them by saying Marianne agrees with her progressive critics on 80-90%. To her credit, she has, unlike Krystal and Kyle, been honest about Marianne and RFK Jr.s polling This is not about intent. As opposed to Krystal's and Kyle's, I do not question Brie's. However, this well shows the perils of close friendship and propinquity between self-professed journalists/political pundits and their subjects, particularly ones with the power, platform, and influence of presidential candidates. It inevitably degrades coverage and erodes reader/viewer/listener trust.

Entirely fair point about Taibbi/Musk. In Fairness: Shortly after MW officially announced her candidacy, BJG began to mention to her audience, of the pre-existing friendship between her and MW. Once we were informed of the friendship, it was on the audience to factor it into our assessment of BJG’s MW assessment.

Great episode, i understand that a lot of people might side eye MW officiating the wedding. Though I personally don’t really see how corrupting it could be. As far as we know no money was exchanged; Krystal, Kyle, and everyone involved was basically pro anyone should primary Biden and MW and RFK jr. We’re the only ones to step to the plate. I would bet my right arm that if Bernie had the courage to run again they wouldn’t even give to glances at anyone else before endorsing him. Also, events like this is exactly what the left needs. Left YouTubers have been at each others throats for years now and we finally have something where everyone meets and sees that the other person isn’t some CIA plant. They kind of alluded to this in the episode about how conservatives since they are swimming with billionaire money get to have all of these events and meet and have beers with each other and that’s why you see less infighting. Anyways I’m glad you guys enjoyed the wedding and please remember that most people don’t really care and are actually glad we can see the leftist community come together like this. Hopefully we get many more!!!

I have zero interest in a conversation about Covid vaccines. Discouraging regular vaccinations of kids is irresponsible and repeating untruths about vaccines contributing to autism isn't ok. I have plenty of beef with big pharma, but childhood vaccines have been more than proven to be safe, in part, because of the spread of panic over thimerosal perpetuated by RFK.

If you don't think access journalism is a problem, you must think those journalists/pundits practicing it--particularly Krystal and Kyle--have no real impact and never did. You may have something there...:) I must say, though, it's hilarious how many of the journalists covering Marianne--and mingling with her at the wedding--criticized Taibbi's connections to Musk. Taibbi certainly didn't attend Musk's wedding...or have him officiate his own

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about who attends K&K’s wedding? Or if Krystal is now fake and rich? We have so many real problems, like how to survive this hostile society…anyone who is even somewhat of an advocate, I will take.

No one cares about media personalities being friends, it is MW that is the huge issue. So when people discuss why the "appearance of corruption" is bad for politicians, judges, etc in what they do and who they associate with, yet for the media it doesn't matter? So as the supposed 4th estate, where you have chosen a role which is meant to hold politicians accountable and scrutinise these people's behaviours to inform the public, well for journalists the appearance of undue influence doesn't matter? Krystal and Kyle showed they have 0 integrity. A presidential contender they regularly report on is officiating her wedding, it is completely unacceptable. It is obvious, no one in mainstream media would get a pass for doing the same thing with Joe Biden. I am sick of the gaslighting on this issue. There is no way a viewer should take any MW coverage seriously going forward from them or anyone who took photos with her. And though it wasn't your choice that she attended, the photo was inappropriate and reflects poor judgement. No one is saying a fact that corruption is occurring, but the appearance of corruption is clear and that in and of itself is bad enough.

You can't get past a stance that is FICTION. It's a LIE to say he is anti-vax. RFK Jr. is NOT Anti-vax. He is Pro SAFE vaccines. Please, do some homework on his ACTUAL opinions as opposed to what MSM or other "Fauci is the God of Science" reactionaries. Have you paid attention to the FACT that everything that MSM said about Covid & the jabs is WRONG? That our Govt was LYING about everything? That Lockdowns NEVER should have happened and that our Govt has - ON PURPOSE - put back children's education, health and social development by years over THEIR LIES? Lies for the benefit of Big Pharma & the propagandists who made billions.

They care because it's annoying to have to either critique or defend what was an essentially friends chatting about a party they went to. Like I said earlier, if Brie didn't feel up to a more substantive epi, she and Katie could have done a movie review or something equally fluffy & fun. Of all the people in that photo, ONLY Brie & Katie seemed a touch out of place. Btw, both Brie & Katie's outfits & hair looked fabulous!

I like hearing about what's on your mind, have your friends, wear your shoes. I can't get past RFKs pre covid antivax stance... it literally kills kids. I'm personally going Marianne and hoping we can push her on foreign policy. I appreciate your amazing work.

That stuff about ppl on Twitter “debating” (bickering) about $80 shoes is stupid signalling & a martyr chip on their shoulders. So working class people can’t have nice, luxury things? WTF do we work for then? To live like a Monk? It’s inverse elitism. I once bought, as a treat, for my partner a pair of $500 Minolo Blanik shoes. Because she deserved them. That was in the mid-nineties too so i dread to think how much they are now. But i’d do it again. I have done. Not every week or even every month, but as a special treat. Those virtue signallers are not, i bet, living in sack-cloths and ashes, self flagellating whilst listening to a translator read Mao’s Little Red Book. These social media drama episodes are embarassing. The media critique / valentines eps are fun, and the expert/opinion interviews are obviously great, but this feels naval gazey. Im not on twitter, most people arent on twitter. Who cares.
