I've been working on stuff for chapters that are a long way off, which has been fulfilling for me and will ultimately pay off in the long run, but I haven't much to show for it in the near term. And, of course, in the past week there have been recurring power outages where I live... the universe rarely fails to punish me for procrastination.

If Tempo wants information (or control), she might be pulling rank to get him alone with the only one aboard (Spiral) with whom he's had strictly positive interactions.
