4:58: Your faith in the two stubbornest characters on this show to be rational is admirable. 5:58: Weaponized grrl power, you love to see it. 8:02: I think you underestimate how Claire's first reaction to seeing these four dumdums in the same room would be, "Goddammit, what cherished part of my life am I about to sacrifice for the greater good?" 11:30: "Not Pompeii!" Do these millennia-old secret society of pure evil have to coordinate with each other? "Hey, Ten Rings, FYI: we've been seeding this volcano on the Neopolitan coast..." 21:05: "Life for me": While I don't doubt Alexandra's thirst for immortality is a factor, she definitely strikes me as one of those well-intentioned villains who believes they can save the world as the small cost of a significant fraction of the population who will "coincidentally" be disproportionally from the lower classes. 22:21: "The only language they speak is violence." I don't think she likes violance. She likes subservience. But she does believe whole-heartedly that violence is the appropriate means to an end to rebellion. While this wasn't quite a bottle episode, the economy of story-telling was present. I think my favorite part of this episode was that it batted a 1.000 for both character portrayal and character interaction. No notes. The whole episode is just, "Toss in somebody new. Let it play out."
