@5:44: Speaking of obsessions, I love love love that Alice was raised in witchcraft as an atheist who until 3 days ago thought it was just her moms Rituals 'n' Bedtime Stories. She's like a Catholic who knows all her prayers backwards and forwards but uses the term "Sky Daddy." @12:28: Not me asking if they had Debra Jo Rupp do that scene so Kathryn Hahn could mimic her mannerisms. @21:18: Agatha destroys the Sigil here, I'm calling it. If you ever watched Buffy, there was an arc in Season 6 where Willow becomes addicted to magic like a drug. It's Jen, who's bound and can't use her magic, is the first to turn on Agatha. She's the only other person in withdrawal. Agatha, who's had her power stripped by Wanda, can't help but absorb Alice's newly discovered powers, because it's like shoving a needle full of heroin into a recovering addict and expecting them to to pull it out instead of push down on the plunger. And Wanda... just her entire story; it's a whole essay all on its own. As for Billy, I'm guessing we're going to learn what his story is next time. ETA: I was going to leave these thoughts out until I processed them further, but you kept bringing up how no one was willing to hear Agatha out ever. Magic is also a metaphor to enfranchising the disenfranchised. See: the Wiccan Rede; outside the rituals it's about egalitarianism and cooperation, and it's a warning not a philosophy. We judge the oppressed for abusing any tiny power they gain ten times as hard as the powerful doing a thousand times worse. Agatha in universe lost the benefit of the doubt a long time ago and building trust takes time, and that's hard to do when you've built a wall around your heart.

2024-10-16 20:14:47 +0000 UTCThings I spotted/speculate: - Teen’s clothes during the trial remind me of an outfit he wore during WandaVision. :O - As soon as “Mrs Hart” was spelled, I knew it was fake. Sharon HATED that name, she wouldn’t have used it to present herself. And I instantly knew it was Agatha faking, cause she was the one that was “deadnaming” her the most consistently. - Many of Lilia’s outbursts from previous episodes could fit here (“save Agatha”, and “Alice don’t”, specifically) - I guess that Rio didn’t want Agatha’s mother to get her, cause that would probably mean that the ghost would keep/destroy Agatha’s soul, and Death can only be with someone once she get their soul, and she WANT Agatha. Oh, and one reason she hate ghosts is probably that they are souls she don’t have or get to have. - In panic after Alice’s death, Teen start looking for his spell notebook, even though he lost it… T-T I feel him there lol. - When Lilia and Jen threw Agatha off the road they almost looked like they were controlled, or fakes, they were moving too stiffly. Teen have been shown to be somewhat excluded of the trials (not actually cursed, even if the curse threw him across the room, didn’t have to take the poison on first trial, etc.) so maybe the whole coven was controlled to turn against Agatha, and Teen is the only one free, explaining why he was the one most defensive of her, but he’s still on the rebelling /lashing out phase of grieving right now so yeah… he could still be lashing like that against the trial to save them all… him basically killing everyone doesn’t really fit with what he had JUST said.

But when she's alone outside it feels like we see the real her and she is not okay. But then she puts on her bravado as a mask when Teen comes out and acts all holier than thou. And then they dropped that mid-season trailer! Luckily I have a pretty packed day tomorrow so Thursday morning (which is whens it's out for me) will hopefullt come pretty quickly!

2024-10-15 19:28:24 +0000 UTCI think Lilia's "I hated this the first time" is because she saw this before. in Episode 3, she says "Save Agatha" and in Episode 4 she says "Alice don't". as in "Alice don't save Agatha"? Also with the reveal of Teen being Wanda's kid at the end, the Ouija board only being for ages 3 and up is another layer because Episode 1 said Wanda's Hex was 3 years ago, so Wanda's Billy was born 3 years ago. So he would be old enough to use the Ouija board :P

2024-10-15 19:18:20 +0000 UTCI hear some people saying that Alice had a good death - protecting a fellow witch from her abusive mother - helping to break another generational curse (Agatha is rumored to have killed her OWN child), but, forget all that honourable good death shit. She deserves a good life, dammit! Also, even Alice and Rio both defending Agatha from her mother and Teen saying no, they can't punish Agatha - you can see that she has built goodwill with more than half of her coven by this point. Teen is angry and grieving and blaming the immediate cause of Alice's death. He's doing that teenage thing of blaming their mother-figure for the worst things in anger, and hitting at sore spots. He's also angry at Jen and Lilia's lack of suitable remorse.
