i feel like this ep just spawned at least 100 fics on ao3 all titled 'she is my scar' (& i will be reading EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. lol)
also joe locke's character was sliced last episode & stabbed this one; poor kid had the fun completely sucked out of this adventure 😭 (plus... you know... the ~incident~ last ep) but i love how the road is at least letting them rest & heal in between trials... if you think about it, that's kinda nice of the road to do 💀
& speaking of joe locke, i'm going to start editing heartstopper the second i post this vid!! hoping to get the commentary for 3x01 up asap 😊

I really really really would love to see a rewatch-reaction of this for halloween. Knowing what we know now really changes so much!

When you've lost so much, you have to cut yourself off. @8:07: Maybe it's just because it's Aubrey Plaza, but that demon voice was 100% put upon to look cool in front of Agatha's new friends. Also, Lilia said "black heart," so Rio was always meant to be in the coven. @9:57: I need you to say so much more about Alara from The Orville. I need that 20-minute outtake, please and thank you. @16:09: Something delightful happens when a cinematographer gets to go wild. @20:18: This doesn't jive with Sharon not knowing the lyrics in Episode 2, but I think we're supposed to assume "The Witches' Road (Cover Version)" is Lorna Wu's big hit, so it's just one of those songs that's ubiquitous. This episode somehow felt longer watching it with you. The pausing to absorb the moments, like really absorb them, gave it the right pacing. The test goes too fast; it's just a song. I know it was just to focus a bit on Rio but I still feel like we know next to nothing. Can you imagine what it would be like to be able to binge this show straight? Mark my words, someone will edit it down to like 3 hours and it will be amazing.
