Lessons learned? In the last quarter century, Leftists have not even been able to slow down the speed that the democrats (and Bernie himself) have been moving to the right. Lessons ignored? Sadly much of the Left has their head buried in the sand. It seems to me that this will remain a subculture that will comfort itself as being good-faith/good-guys on the road to oblivion. So the victory is that they could sustain themselves for 3 decades? :(. 135 Americans die every day because of a lack of health care. Is believing that asking for the Canadian healthcare system is the same thing as turning water into wine a self-fulfilling prophesy?
