Naming the new ARS Battleship
Added 2020-12-02 12:12:32 +0000 UTCYes, the ARS is finally getting one, thanks to a completely un-planned series of arbitrary decisions, I have a concept for it I really want to bring to life.
And instead of figuring out the name for the ARS' new planned capitol, I'm putting time into figuring this thing out.
The rough concept is attached, (Spriting on hold until I test the concept) It's going to be a 50 or 60 DP pincushion of medium mounts with Omni Loader for its system.
The thing with ARS naming convention, is that the titles given to these ships are more like NATO reporting names, the original creators were not so 'creative' with labeling them.
The only rules are that you cannot re-use first letters (which already cuts out most names) and names must furthermore have some reasonable history of use within the British Isles, mostly for consistency sake, so we don't get things like Kerensky next to Norwood.
As it happens, that doesn't leave as many names left as you'd think, so I went through them and selected a few that I feel meet or at least, approach, an appropriate level of grandeur for this machine, and if you wish, all 4 of you may make the final decision.
If no consensus is reached, I will hold a runoff vote for the names which were picked, minus one.
