Exclusive: Christmas / Bible?
Added 2023-12-03 20:05:04 +0000 UTCThis is most likely not what you expected ha, but here's a little unused footage from the Foenix computer review, going through its "Bible".
This also makes an interesting illustration of how "flat" I feel videos would be without any quick cuts or music. I work hard to keep what's on screen feel engaging, even if it's just some paper or a PCB. As it is, there was no space to fit this segment in, so it's all yours in raw and uncut form!

I also wanted to mention a very cool game if you're into spooky Christmas text adventures for retro (or modern) computers. I recently reviewed "The Ghosts of Blackwood Manor" in the new ZZAP! 64 magazine and it scored a whopping 93% with SIZZLER status!

It's written by friend of the channel Stefan Vogt, who wrote Hibernated, but unfortunately "only" works on the following platforms: Commodore 64, Spectrum +3, Spectrum Next, Amstrad CPC and PCW, Commodore Amiga, Atari 8-bit, Apple II, Atari ST, MS-DOS, BBC Micro, Acorn Electron, Commodore 128, Mega65, MSX 1 and MSX 2, Commodore Plus/4, SAM Coupé, TRS-80 Model III, TRS-80 Model 4, classic Macintosh and modern PC. 😅

Amazing. I would love to see more on this device. I love following the Commander x16. Re: the comparisons you previously made on your last YT video of the two projects. I think it would go a long way to bridge the exposure gap, if the creators showed some of the story on how it was developed. While 9bitguy has a big audience, I think that project also gets a boost because people love seeing the story behind its development.

2023-12-04 00:57:57 +0000 UTCI had a Treasure Island text advanture game on the C64. I think it had a bug, the island would get overrun by the sea and the game crashed. I also played The Hobbit text advanture I manged to use some barrels to escape once, but never again!
