Updated: Apologies that I can't migrate comments to the new version. I wanted to clarify near the end that I bypassed the resistors because placing power before them for some reason didn't work. The resistors may be there to protect the LEDs of as part of the complex accelerometer hit and flash system. For whatever reason, placing power after the resistors "just works". There is more electronics inside the blade at the LED end which may include more resistors for protection. Also updated the vid with a couple of other small corrections, and changed it from a Quick Bytes to a normal ЯR intro sequence, as this one turned into anything but quick to make ;)
As you probably know I was Anakin Skywalker's UK Stand-in on Revenge of the Sith & I want to modify the electronics in a screen accurate replica lightsaber I got then to act as the coolest wall lamp in the galaxy!
But of course, I couldn't resist sharing with you a few behind-the-scenes tales along the way. 🚀

We'll be back soon with a Ladyfractic Lego computer build, and find out if I bought a Pontiac Firebird aka KITT!
Thank you for your ongoing support 👍🕹️
