This took a lot longer than I expected… if only I had a Time Machine. Oh well! Please enjoy a full upscale and multi-stage restoration of the full Back to the Future Ride footage!
Restoration steps taken included:
- AI upscale to 4K
- Conversion from 30 to 60 fps with frame interpolation
- Re-insertion of original clips from the Blu-Ray movies into the ride queue line footage where appropriate
- Matte cutout of DeLorean ride dashboard to superimpose over TheMaxleyDog’s full frame restoration of the actual ride footage
- AI upscale and 60 fps treatment of that full frame restoration
- Manual pasting of new labels onto dashboard
- CRT effect on dashboard TV to better compensate for low quality source
- Volume levelling and other audio fixes and tweaks
