Early bird: Doctor Who Theme documentary restoration
Added 2023-01-03 22:10:02 +0000 UTCWe've got lots going on in the ЯR kitchen at the moment. As I type this, a real TARDIS is being painted onto the inside studio door (yes, the one you've seen in The ЯRetro Show has been superimposed in editing up until now). Also a fun idea for the other door that I've always felt was a bit awkwardly placed... we're turning it into the Airport exit door from Spy vs. Spy! I figured, instead of trying to hide it why not make it a feature. Anyway, that's all being done ready for the next main video filming.
In the meantime I saw this video doing the rounds recently and couldn't resist giving it a restoration. Not only is it upscaled to 4K (albeit not reaching Björk quality - remember bad footage in = bad footage out) but thanks to YOU I also invested in some dust and scratch removal software to really tidy up the original from the BBC Archives. The original is linked in the video description for comparison.
Alongside Knight Rider and Airwolf I think this is one of my top 3 themes of all time, and I hope you enjoy this cleaned up insight!

2023-01-08 19:58:30 +0000 UTCI remember on Shooting Stars there was a guess the music round with Vic Reeves sat there all calm with the Doctor Who bass line intro dum-dum-dum etc. Then he launches into this really loud OOOOHH-EEEEEEE-OOOOOOO. I just can't find the video of it though.
