2022-11-05 15:00:55 +0000 UTCAnother way to look at it, is you still have a great art piece that passes at a glance as the real thing, but without the responsibility of owning, maintaining, and preserving something irreplaceable. Shit does happen, and it'll be in your home, not a museum, where every day accidents can occur, and a painting could get damaged, especially if displayed. This looks like a lovely piece, but at the end of the day it's nothing special, you can quite happily just hang it on a wall, and if something happens to it, it's a shame, but nothing more. If something happened to the real thing though, that's a whole other story... Basically it's a bit like your argument for no longer using your Amiga.
