I was under the weather last week (all better now!) so decided to tackle something a bit more low energy. Please enjoy your early access as we review a new Commodore 64 board game!

Yes that’s all fair. It was interesting to go into this not knowing what to expect. Could have been incredible, but it is what it is 🤦🏻♂️

Honestly they didn't really take much advantage of using the computer at all, and it seemed very basic. There are lot of better gaming experiences including the old "choose your own adventure" style RPG books that didn't use a computer at all, and yet offered something better than what seems to essentially boils down to snakes and ladders with a bit more RNG. They could have easily drawn from things like DnD to make this a much more involved experience that better used the computer.
Also putting it brutally, making the claims about the music, but then having you stream an album you have to buy just seems half baked.
In a nutshell, too simple, and using the C64 for the sake of it, rather than any practical reason. D- Must try harder.

I really like this.. Interestingly I learned that there were a set of board/ video game hybrids for the Odyssey 2 that also look quite fun.

But I'd definitely be up for playing the nightland as I could run a c64 emulator on my phone and play it. You're right it could for with some Erie did music :)
