Philosophy #31 - Business & Pleasure

I've plotted the entire game from beginning to end. I don't have every detail in mind but I have all of the major details. I know what needs to happen and where I need to go. As every episode is released, things become more and more concrete. We're still heading for the same destination I've always planned.

I know that you don't know what happens but I do and I want to assure you that things are heading in the right direction. I know that by supporting my project, you're putting a lot of faith and trust in me. I think of that all the time and I'm grateful for the belief you have in me. I'm assuming that the reason you're here, new or old, is because you continue to believe in what's going to happen.

'A Man for All' is meant to be one giant cohesive piece. Every episode combined is supposed to tell a single story, your story. I know that it may be a problem to view it that way for two reasons. The first is that it's been in development for several years. It's been a long time since I first started and it almost feels like we should have all of the major pieces at this point. For many different reasons, it's just not complete, so you're not able to view it the way it was intended.

The second reason viewing it as a single piece is a problem is because you only have a part of it. I know that might be specifically frustrating as a player because you have no idea what's happening and you're entirely dependent on putting your trust in me. It's easier for me because I know what's going to happen but you're in the dark outside of what you can only speculate from what you've played.

At this point, one of the issues that's cropped up is where the focus is going. As I've said many times before, my primary goal is the story. I know that might seem counterintuitive in some ways because we're all here for the ladies and the sex. As I talked about in the previous Philosophy post, the foundation was the story and I have had trouble balancing just how much focus I've put into the story. And when I say story, I'm talking about the aspects beyond pursuing the girls and trying to develop a relationship with them.

I wanted to write this post to reiterate that even though the story is at the forefront, I fully intend on having the sexy, dirty, naughty fun that we're all here for. We have to take care of business first. You've got a coffee shop to bring back. You've got a tournament to win. You've got a modeling competition to win. You have a psych department you need to save. You have a science project you need to finish. You have a thesis you need to write. Once business is taken care of, then we can focus on the pleasure.

After the next few episodes, it should be clear which direction the story is headed. You'll have a better idea of the business you need to take care of. And you'll have a better view of the destination and perhaps a better idea of what the entire, cohesive project is supposed to look like.

With all Philosophy posts, I tend to ramble and repeat myself a lot. This isn't meant to be anything formal but more of my stream of consciousness, free-flowing thoughts about what's on my mind. To sum everything up, I know what everybody wants. We're going to get there. And if it doesn't seem like it, you can always voice your opinions or complaints and let me know what you'd like to see.

I'm anxious to see everything come together, however long it might take, because I think it won't just be a story with all of the sex and relationships we want to see. A balance between business and pleasure. At least, that's what I'm aiming for.

On Episode 14

I have some tricky animations I'm dealing with at the moment but I'm making progress. No timetable on when that'll get done but it's only a few animations and I think I should be able to finish them soon. Once they're done, I can start putting this short episode together. There's not much to report on beyond that.

Anyway, send me a message if you've got any comments or questions. Thanks for your support, everybody. I appreciate you all. Take care of yourselves and I'll see you soon.
