Road Map 2022

The road map for this year is simple. I can't think of any other features I'm looking to add that aren't there already. But if I think of any, I'll add them in.

Last year, I put out four episodes. This year, I'm hoping to do the same. By making episodes shorter and having better hardware, I think I'll be able to push through with the same production I had as last year.

Episode 9 isn't necessarily a goal but a marker. If I manage to get there before the end of the year, that doesn't mean I'll stop. And if I don't get there, it likely means the episodes are long and dense. Either way, I plan on working on the game as much as I can. The road map is always just to give you some idea of what I'm planning on. I'm gonna do my best to keep up with my plan.

On Episode 6

I'm assuming most of you have played through Episode 6 at this point. I'll talk more about it in future updates but I'd like to speak generally about it now that I can spoil everything. I planned on putting the party at the end of the episode and just rendering it quickly. I didn't realize until halfway through that renders were taking really long because of the amount of characters involved. The party itself was longer than some of the previous episodes. I appreciate you all for waiting as I put everything together.

I'll talk more about what happens in Episode 6 with some upcoming philosophy posts. If you have any feedback at all, whether it's a bug or a typo, something you like or something you didn't like, or just a general comment, feel free to leave me a message. Your feedback helps shape the game. You all have a voice and can influence how things go.

On Episode 7

I've mapped out and plotted Episode 7. As you probably guessed, most of the episode will revolve around the fallout at what happened at the very end of Episode 6. I've started rendering the episode. Renders are the bulk of every episode, so there won't be a major progress update for at least a month. Bottom line: I'm working on Episode 7. It's safe to assume that if I'm not rendering, I'm building a set for a new location.

All of that being said, this is probably my last post for February. I plan on pushing out some special renders and hopefully starting a new weekly render series with all of the females. I'll look to get another poll up for the episode. And since there won't be any progress updates for now, I'm gonna expand with a bunch more philosophy posts. There's a lot to talk about with Episode 6 now. I think now I can tell you all more about the direction of the game in every aspect.

Thanks again for everything. It feels like I've made a lot of progress in the story but there's still so much more to go. I'm passionate about this project and I'm glad that there's someone else who cares to see what happens next.
