I've mentioned before that Episode 6 will feature first-time interactions between some characters. More specifically, certain love interests will be introduced to other love interests.

I wanted to take this time to talk about these interactions and the friendships that will blossom.

There's an assumption with harems that since every girl loves the MC, every girl has to love every other girl just the same. I wanted to say that's not necessarily the case. They're all on your side. They'll all be friendly with each other. And that will be that. There won't necessarily be any sexual tension or interaction between them. I just think that's normal. I think forcing every girl to interact sexually with one another would be just that: Forced.

I'm saying this because I don't want anybody to read into things or make assumptions about scenes and dialogue. I won't pretend that this isn't a sex game. But not everything in the game has to be about sex or even romance.

I'm sure I've said this before but one of my goals with AMFA was to tell a story. I want those hot, spicy moments that come with all VNs. But I want the other moments, too. I want romance. I want friendship. I want happy moments of triumph. I want sad moments when shit happens. I want serious moments. And I want silly moments that don't make sense but make you laugh. I think there's room for all of these emotions. And I think all of these different things have a place in a game about sex because there's a story attached to all of it.

I want this game to be fun and I don't think it has to revolve entirely around just sex. Of course, you can enjoy the game just for the sex. I appreciate however you find enjoyment with the game. Just know that I'm working on multiple aspects of the game.

Bringing this all back together and what it means for character interactions, I don't want you to read too much into things. If Erika tells Vanessa she has a nice shirt, it just means Erika thinks she has a nice shirt. That's it. With the variety of personalities I've tried to create, I hope it can be fun and adds value to the story on face value alone.

Now, I'm not closing the door completely on sexual interactions between female love interests. But I'll only go through that door if it has some semblance of sense to it. And even then, the choice would still be in the player's/MC's hands as something optional. When it comes to sex, you will always have an opportunity to make a decision.

Every love interest is interested in the MC. He is their primary and sole focus when it comes to romance. I want to develop them as characters beyond love interests. And developing them as characters is helped by having them interact with other characters, including other love interests. All of that combined will make the story meaningful. At least, that's what I'm going for. Time will tell if I succeed.

Long story short, some girls are going to meet each other. And everybody is going to make a new friend. I hope you'll enjoy some of the friendships that will develop over the course of the story.

If none of this makes sense to you, just know that it makes sense in my head. Sometimes it can be hard for me to articulate abstract ideas. You'll have the chance to judge the story for yourself soon enough.

On Episode 6

I think I've gotten all of the image renders done. I may need a few here and there if I find mistakes or I need an extra for a line of dialogue. But for the most part, everything is rendered. Now comes the task of cranking out these animations.

I've started coding but it's still very early in the process. With a lot of renders comes a lot of writing and I've got a lot of work ahead of me. I'm ready for it though.

I'll be back next week with more specific details. I'm planning on a big progress update.
