Momiji is one of my favorite characters in DOA. Not so much in Gaiden cus' of Ryu. Of course, this is a reference to a certain animation made by the creators of Subverse back in the day. The outfit choice was also influence by it.
It was a tough task trying to top last month's so I played it a bit safe on this one. It looks a bit like the Rangiku piece but is solid enough to be her own piece. I executed the character pretty nicely; the new tech is working well on this piece. Not so much in the background though, I was a bit in a rush yesterday cus' I had somewhere to go. It started out well but I just could figure out the details. By the time I realized my mistakes, I've already made a lot of progress in the piece. Overall I'm a happy with the end product; its not perfect but I nailed the important parts of the piece.

2025-03-22 01:22:19 +0000 UTCI have a soft spot for Momiji as I reviewed Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword back in the day for Nintendo World Report. It was a fun time, if a bit repetitious. Great illustration--looks like she's giving even Honoka a run for her money. :-) I have not seen the video you reference but I'm gonna hunt it down now.
