Episode 5 Progress Update #8

Hey, everybody.

Let me give you all a rundown on every section I'm working on right now.

For the animations, I've gotten through most of the smaller ones. Now I just need to do some big ones. I know what these ones involve but it still involves designing them and rendering them. I also want to improve the animations a little because I know they help in enjoying the story even more, especially when you've gotten to know the characters.

I can only do about one animation per day because my computer gets super hot. With the weather super hot around here, I have to give my computer a break every now and then, just to play it safe. It's usually rendering while I'm writing in another window. But I'm getting through them one by one and I'm more than halfway through. 

For the writing, I can comfortably say I'm more than halfway through the episode. This is in terms of writing for each of the renders. There might be more writing and dialogue involved in the bigger scenes that I haven't tackled yet. I'm hoping to do that this weekend.

Speaking of the dialogue, it adds a decent amount of time to the writing. I try to give you as many choices as I can, especially when it comes to conversations with the ladies. Sometimes it's tricky to change my state of mind to come up with a different response with a different tone. I'm hoping that you find some kind of enjoyment in choosing how to talk and respond to the LIs. The dialogue choices will have more and more of an effect on later dialogue as your relationship changes with the different LIs. But don't worry too much about picking a certain right or wrong choice when it comes to that. Talk how you want to talk. That's just some insight for those of you who might be interested. In this episode, there's a ton of dialogue with all of the LIs as you get to know them better.

For the coding, it's hard to finalize when the writing and animations aren't complete. But it shouldn't take much longer after those two things are done.

I can never put a timetable on these things and can't make any promises or guarantees. But I'm making some progress every day. The episode is taking shape. Before I start every episode, I have initial ideas in my head of what's supposed to happen but seeing everything playing out is satisfying. I had a few good laughs with a scene I just finished writing. I'm eager for you all to play the new episode because I think you'll enjoy where the story is going.
