Who would you like to see in the next exclusive render?

Hey everybody!

It's the first of, hopefully, many updates.

Episode 2 production is underway. Episode 1 served as an introduction but Episode 2 will be a little bit longer. As a result, it will take longer to finish.

For some insight into my production workflow, it looks like this.

Renders > Animations > Writing > Editing > Testing > Finalizing distributable

The first test is the real bulk of production. I'm a hundred or so renders in. As far as a percentage, I can't put a number on it. Scenes have been planned and mapped out but actually putting everything together takes time. If I can be honest, I'm a tiny bit overwhelmed. But I know that if I can keep chipping away, it'll get done. Once I start smoothing out my workflow, I think I can get things done faster.

And now to answer some questions. The first one you're probably all wondering...

"So, when will Episode 2 be out?"

Short answer: I'm not sure.

Long answer: I'm working at a pretty decent pace. The key bulk of the work comes from the renders and especially animations. I've got a couple of big scenes planned and I don't know how long those will take.

I know that's not the answer you want to hear but I can't put a timetable when it's so early in production. In the next update, I'll have a better idea of where I'm at.

I want to see Episode 2 more than anybody else. I'll for sure keep you updated regularly with progress to know where things are at.

"On sounds..."

As far as sounds go, I'm putting them into the same category as music. I could add commercial-free, unlicensed sounds but I want some truly unique sounds and right now, my budget is prioritized by other things.

Right now, my focus is on getting the assets (outfits, hairstyles, locations, new characters, etc.). I want to create a truly dynamic experience. If and when you get to that point you're in a relationship or sleeping with a girl, for example, I want it to be more than just simple scenes. Because of that, the renders and animations take priority over the sound.

No sound for now but it's something I'm looking at.

"On Discord..."

I'm a complete Discord novice. I know it's not that complicated to figure out but it would still take some time for me to put things together.

Do I want to have a Discord? Sure. I'd like to think you became a Patron because you believed in this project. I want you to have a voice.

But seeing as how the community is tiny for the moment, I'll have to put it on hold. So in regards to a Discord, the answer is: eventually.

And the final thing... I put up a poll for everybody. Normally, only T2 and T3 would be able to vote, but since you're all early adopters and there aren't many of you, I don't see the harm in giving you all a vote. Higher tiers, of course, will have an extra vote. If the girl you like doesn't win, don't worry, they'll all get the exclusive render treatment down the line. In the future, only T3 will get to vote in exclusive render polls. T2 will be able to vote in all other polls.

Formatting on Patreon is tough, so apologies if this is hard to read.

I have my nose to the grindstone. I'm working hard to get this done. If you don't hear from me, assume I'm working on it. I'd let you know otherwise. I'm not going to bombard you with Patreon posts because nobody likes being spammed. I promise I'll keep you updated at a steady, tolerable pace.
