Time Team News has landed!

The latest episode of Time Team News is available now on YouTube in our new midweek slot. Catch up with all the action RIGHT HERE.

This month, Dani catches up with Prof Henry Chapman to hear about his research on mysterious bog bodies in Denmark and the UK.

We experience a day in the life of a field archaeologist at an Iron Age quarry site. In Book of the Month, flint-knapper, Bob Turner shares details of his new release, the Flint Tools Field Guide.

Plus, we have an update on the Stonehenge altar stone, and we have news of an epic bike ride from Waterloo Station (London) to the Waterloo Battlefield (Belgium) in support of Waterloo Uncovered.

But what on earth was a Roman dodecahedron used for? Watch the video and let us know what you think in the YouTube comments.

Our extended interview with Henry and a 3D model are on the way on Patreon very soon.

late to this since it took a bit to come up with the courage, but. excessively well preserved bodies of this and other kinds really creep me out for days. moral discussions aside, is it really necessary to place human remains prominently like this? in a thumbnail it serves no educational purpose at all but just serves as an "eye catcher" and is extremely hard to avoid seeing, repeatedly.

Bog bodies are fascinating. Would love to hear more about them.

When will we see more of the early episodes

Sam Batstone

Yay so pleased to hear that Dani and Naomi will be doing another chat! I love them!

Is it possible that the dodecahedra were just conversation pieces of an ornamental nature. Something to decorate the home and talk about with guests. All civilizations have such things. Not everything needs to have a practical purpose.

Richard Seaton

The only thing that makes sense for the uses of the Dodecahedron would be some sort of navigational device using the. Sizes of planets and or star/ constalations to fit in the holes then allowing the user to rotate it to get a perfect setting. Is that a possibility?🤨🤨🤔

Barry Jones

The Roman dodecahedron... Looks remarkably like a modern children's toy...fit the shapes in the right holes.
