LOL. I agree. Sit him on my dash, pointing the way. 🤭

Michelle Cailes

This is a great Dig! I particularly like is that the focus on “villagers” vs Romans or the “High Status” leaders.

Larry Besel, Jr.

He uses a camera on a selfie stick type contraption.

KikiKA

What a lovely episode! Can't wait for the next parts.

Terhi Törmänen

There's a lovely sense of positive energy and enthusiasm among everybody on the site--plus some optimistic early expansion of the site on Day 1. Great episode! Thanks Time Team!

James D Speckart

That was a great first episode, with many interesting features. I am looking forward to the rest! I was wondering, what is that crazy camera technique that they are using to film Stewart? 😊

Andy Quick

Maybe there should be a Time Team line of Funko Pops?

Kelly Smith

a) I've enjoyed the use of the 'from within' camera perspective eg. making the kiln, and digging the briquetage(?) pit; & b) as much as I understand the value of branding, and quite enjoy the Time Team merch' designs, the child in me delighted in knowing that, when it comes to investigating gracile skeletons, "SPECTRUM is Green!" (SIG, Dr Smith!) 😊

Nigel Bell

🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cheryl Kurucz

Fascinating and fun as always. Looking forward to days 2 and 3. Loved Lawrence’s striped t-shirt. It brought back memories of Mick Aston.

Lauri Boyd

Always excited for a new episode and to see the Team in action.

L.A. Kornell

Bless you! Couldn’t remember the words, and now I can go round humming it.

Kerie Receveur

Looking forward so much to watch it tonight! I'm celebrating my 30th birthday this week and so is Time Team!

Dyfan & Jemma Graves

Now I want a Stewart Ainsworth bobble head! https://youtu.be/U1kwLc5dDAI?si=5Ob9pXVUINdqQBWO&t=1407

That was an incredible first part, the amount discovered was amazing. And that incredible weather for the evening party! What a place and amazing that TT is still going at 30

Des Bowring

WOW! That episode just got more exciting as the day wore on! Tremendous history!

William Rome

Tell Lawrence we love his T-shirt. And maybe where he bought it, guess lots of fans would die to get their hands on it

niels lammers

A fascinating and superbly produced episode. As good as anything Time Team has ever done.

Philip Stack

Fantastic! Great to see familiar and new faces. Thanks Time Team! ❤️

Jenny Lambert

Several good answers given already, so just to add - in the UK, when Time Team was originally on TV, it was often broadcast close to when a lot of people would be eating dinner. Dinner time is, in many parts of the UK, referred to as 'tea time' (although as the Wiki above states, this can mean other mealtimes as well.)

Loz

Oh, the fact'ries may be roaring with a boomalacka zoomalacka whee, But there isn't any roar when the clocks strike four. Everything stops for tea. Oh, a lawyer in a courtroom, in the middle of an alimony plea, Has to stop and help 'em pour when the clock strikes four. Everything stops for tea. (Jack Buchanon) Just about sums it up

Roger Mills

Loving this. Am impatient for the rest of the episodes. 👍

Kerry Hennigan

This site obviously has a long, long history. Who will be surprised should bronze age or even mesolithic evidence appears (not me)?

Eggs Ackley

What an incredible dig! I can't wait to see the rest of the videos! And what a lovely ending to Day 1, with that evocative folk music! I hope we get some interview time with Derek describing his family's history at this farm.

Michael Sperry

Time Team was traditionally shown at Sunday tea time from what I gather, so it has a special connection.

Michael O'Connor

I watch many archeology shows, but Time Team's layout suits me the best. As a non Brit, I do question something. What the hell is tea time? I've heard it on the previous Time Team and now the current one and still don't know what it is.

Alan Murdock

Incredible, trying to wrap my brain around the information presented... and it's just a taste of what's to come!! I eagerly await the 3 part series & Patreon extras. 🙏 Thank you ALL so much...

Patricia Amero

Channeling his inner Mick?

Time Team - Pure addiction in the best possible way. Need to sharpen my Marshalltown and get back into volunteering again!

Andy Gabriel-Powell

Great stuff. I can't wait until the next part.

Amethyst Gray

Thank you, really enjoyed that.

Maureen Edmonds

Was Lawrence's shirt a deliberate homage to Mick's iconic jumper/sweater?

Virginia Peters-Schultz

Lawrence's colorful shirt is giving me welcome flashbacks to Mick Aston's sweaters.

Brian Y Caldwell

Great stuff :)

Bob Greaves

Lawrence and Derek make for a great Time Team team!

Larry Besel, Jr.

Amazing first day, and we're pleased to see that the stripey shirt baton has been passed!
