Patreon December 2022 Release

Well, hello there! Once again we come to it - not only is it another Patreon release, but it also marks the beginning of Christmas for me! Time to put up the trees, light the fair lights, and wear layers of tinsel like a god of tickly plastic. Well, that's tomorrow's job, anyway.

If you're new here, you'll receive your files via MyMiniFactory, either through an email invitation to redeem your files through their site, or if you already have an account, it'll get added to your library automatically - don't worry if you don't get your files right away, however, as it might take me a little while to issue them, as it's a manual process. In addition, on the store page, you can see all the previous releases of models - if you've missed out on something and want to get your hands on it, fear not, for as a Patron, you can use a discount code (check the post after this one for it!) to get 15% off all your digital purchases from the Solwyte Studio store!

This month, we've got a bunch of all-new things for you to download and print (and if you're anything like me, add to the pile of things that'll get painted one day), so let's start with the biggest thing first!

I know, I know, it's not a full model, but this is the first entry into a multi-month project that will absolutely dwarf anything and everything else you've ever printed or built. Each legs, in its most extended pose, can stand a total of 430mm tall, although in the rendered pose it rests at around 390mm tall. It is a fully posable set, and is absolutely stacked with detail, which is part of the reason why this month contains fewer entries than usual, as this took two weeks of solid work to construct.

In addition, this set includes both the fully posable parts, parts preassembled to print more easily at different scales, and the posable parts are included as both their full parts and parts cut to print on smaller printers, so that even someone with an Elegoo Mars can print it. I don't envy you if you try it though, that's a whole lot of plates to do.

Next up, we have the first ever Skjalos aircraft:

This December introduces the all-new Nighthawk-Class Interceptor. Rather than a fast strike vehicle, this is a slower, but agile, vehicle, hovering and gliding between city streets and close terrain with an surprisingly quiet combination of engines and anti-gravity plates making it perfect for stealth deployments. Armed with las-destroyers and a pair of gatling cannons, it's perfectly equipped to take out most armoured and personnel targets with ease.

Measuring 160x210x65mm in size, the Nighthawk also comes with a large flight stand to carry it aloft on the battlefield, but should you prefer more scenic modelling, you can use a blank plate underneath without a recess for the flight stand.

The next addition to the Skjalos range is a bit more conventional for me: a tank!

A successor to the Sakraston 'Avenger' Battle Tank, the new 'Peacekeeper' Heavy Tank includes a twinned Suppressor Battle Cannon turret and a chunky gatling cannon in its hull mount. These are entirely interchangeable with the weapons included with the Avenger, although there have been some minor adjustments to the Sakraston hull to fit the new turret on. Those of you familiar with real-world tanks will probably notice the new turret's inspiration from the IS-3, featuring the first dome-turreted Skjalos tank.

Let's follow that slightly more stereotypical Solwyte release with something a little more... weird.

Please join me in welcoming the all new Aventine Dynasties faction, beginning with the Viper hovercraft! Equipped with a pair of multi-spectrum Tachyon Lances and a Sarnalian-Class engine, this thing is designed to be light and fast, carrying a crew of one to dart out and take out targets with deadly efficiency. Prioritising speed over heavy armour makes them almost alien to the Skjalos forces, but they are no less wary of them for it, as a single Viper squadron has been known to cause a full battalion to halt in place.

The Aventine Viper measures 120x160x55mm, and includes both a short and long optional flight stand. It's cut to print on both small and large-format printers, so no matter what you have, you'll be able to print it without issue!

Lastly, we have a second entry into the Taekolta!

The Kohora Watchers are well-equipped with sizeable sniper rifles and knives for hunting and stripping both their next meal and their enemies, with unequalled efficiency. These are the elites, rather than the main force, of the Red Martyr, hunting far ahead of any massed Kolta forces, picking off members of the enemy leadership and sabotaging their vehicles and plans.

These lot are a set of five infantry models with sniper rifle and dagger options, and make the first of many upcoming releases for the Taekolta faction!

And, well, with that we're done. That concludes this month's release post, with a total of five releases: one super-massive robot, two aircraft, an infantry set and a tank!

If you actually managed to read this far (thank you!), I'll be posting up the discount codes in the next couple of days, along with plans for December's releases! In addition, though of course this stuff isn't yet presupported, those will follow closer towards the end of this month - November's presupports, unfortunately, are not quite ready yet, but I'll upload them as soon as they are!

You've got a whole bunch of new stuff to print, and I can't wait to see them - if you want to show off your finished prints and models, feel free to post them up in #my-solwyte in my Discord! Finally, If you haven't received an email invitation in a few minutes please send me a message via Patreon or Discord and I'll manually issue you one when I'm back awake!
