Patreon Rewards: July 2022

Well, at long last, after a hugely turbulent month of working away with blood, sweat and tears (or rather, just back pain from leaning over my laptop), we've finally come to the release post for July 2022! First things first, as always you'll get your cheeky 15% discount code for the Solwyte Studios MyMiniFactory store in the following Patron-exclusive post, so keep an eye out for that, and check your emails for an invite to redeem this month's downloads via MyMiniFactory!

Alright, with all that boring stuff out of the way, who wants to see new things? Oh, pick me, pick me! Oh, alright then, we'll start off with the coolest, biggest, most excitingest, blingiest* infantry release yet: the Skjalos Slaughter Corps!

With a cheery name like that, who wouldn't love them? This set is your build-an-entire-army-out-of-one-kit kit, with all the bells and whistles a growing force needs, including:

▸20 unique body poses
▸Las Rifles
▸Las Pistols
▸Blast Pistols
▸Shotguns
▸A banner
▸Binoculars
▸Grenades
▸Power Blades
▸Scythe
▸Siege Shield
▸Spear
▸Power Talon
▸Cleavers
▸Ice Axes
▸Machetes
▸Kill Trophies
▸Sniper Rifles
▸9 Helmet variants
▸Siege Hammer
▸Axes
▸Inferno Cannons
▸Phase Cannons
▸Rotary Cannons
▸Shot Cannons
▸Thermal Cannons
▸Improvised Weapons

So um. That's a few options. Plus, individually, they're the most consistently-detailed infantry models I've made, so I hope you'll have fun with them.

Next up, accompanying these guys is the all-new Aethea Heavy Tank:

As a second instalment using the Üdaji Heavy Missile Tank's core chassis, the Aethea replaces its heavily armoured hull and turret with an open top, housing a direct-fire artillery cannon in place of its predecessor's missile complement. For this particular tank, it was almost an excuse to go overboard with detail after having a number of you guys request internal details on tanks, so... well, here we have all the details. Inside, you'll find shell racks, a fully detailed firing and loading mechanism for the gun, crew seats, racks for crew weapons, stowage compartments, hatches for firing through the protective shield while safely protected, a viewing panel for safe and accurate gun aiming, plus a pair of crew members: one loading a shell into the gun, the other kneeling to adjust the gun elevation.

You asked for detail, you got detail!

Not to be outdone by the hounds of Skjalos territories, the Covenants of Mars have brought their own new infantry into the fray, beginning with the Ochystan Kyporii!

Though to some extent these are a spiritual successor to the Minatari Hieronites, these new Kyporii are the combined result of the last few years of my infantry development and refinement - with new, improved proportions, and more 'naturally' zombified poses, these guys communicate what I always wanted the Minatari to be when I originally made them. As it is, this kit comes with a total of three torso options, ten pairs of legs in unique poses, and ten left and ten right arm poses, all unique, flippable and interchangeable across models, so you can create a truly unique and sizeable horde using this kit without having any duplicated models. In addition, this kit will be supplemented in future months with more options, and more rotten and worn out versions of the Kyporii.

However, I'll be honest - so far, it's been pretty tame for me, and while I admit this month's offerings aren't the most outlandish I've done, I hope I can silence any doubts that I'll be getting boring with the next reward: Khayalos' Tyrant.

The Khayalos Tyrant is an Obliatus Drone of a unique design, specifically created by and for the Covenants commander, Overlord Khayalos, to serve as his personal eyes on the battlefield, watching over his subordinates, and using its talons to decapitate both enemy and friends suspected of treasonous thoughts alike.

On a more model-wise point, this is a big ol' robot thing, and includes three pairs of arms and five talon poses (two in flat-footed poses, one pointing, and two attacking talon poses), along with six secondary bionically-augmented human arm poses - in addition, all of its arms are interchangeable with those on previous Covenants of Mars Drones, so you can have Argonata Drones on tentacle legs, or a Khayalos Tyrant on creepy spindly stiletto Synota Drone legs.

In addition to the new creations which appear this month on the Solwyte Studios Patreon, two returning kits will be appearing as part of July's models, as an apology for the relative sparseness of this month's rewards. Owing to unavoidable personal circumstances, there were a few disruptions to my workflow that ended up in the unfortunate delay of the Legions of Khurybah's Tugyah and Hollows kit that I'd hoped would appear on this rewards post today. As things ended up, unfortunately this hasn't worked out, however in apology for this, the Covenants of Mars Overlord Ambera Phykon and the Skjalos Guard Oryssa Artillery Tank instead will be featuring to tide you over in the meantime:

So, that's all of this month's stuff all sorted, described and listed - if you've actually bothered to read this far, thank you for putting up with it, and I hope you enjoy your rewards! Presupports for this and last month's stuff will hopefully be here soon if all projections line up correctly, and please feel free to join our discord, which will be linked in the follow-up discount post tomorrow morning!

* I assure you, these are words.

So the discount code isn't released or did I miss it?
