Hey there all, first post in... a while. Sorry for the length of time between posts and delay in sending out emails, but I've been really rediscovering a lot of stuff about myself lately and it's been a wild ride. I finally found out how to actually have fun again, and it's been long enough since I last did that, that I wanted to make the most of it while it's fresh!
Anyway, enough about me, onto more relevant things. First up, thanks to the hard work of Mike at Mountain 3D, presupports for February's rewards are done and will be uploaded in the next couple of days, and presupports for March are on their way, hopefully we'll have April ready to go too soon if we're very, very lucky!
Next up, well, the plans to get the dimensions and descriptions on all the MMF listings is unfortunately not gonna happen this month, however it is still my top priority other than actually making Patreon rewards happen. That will now be early next month's job.
Oh, yeah, we should probably talk about the new stuff, I guess - so the Nyphia has arms now. See? Arms! So, these aren't absolutely finished yet, but you get the idea. Each arm rotates in a ball joint giving it freedom of movement, and the arm-to-weapon connection is double jointed, allowing you to pose the arm in any position and still have the weapon oriented parallel to the battlefield. Oh yeah, and every joint in it has a countersunk hole in it that you can screw or pin together, that is then covered by other details to hide it, so you need never worry about glue breaks!
The weapon mount will be the same for all four cannons planned for it, and I am going to attempt to devise a way to safely suspend each cannon and have it interchangeable without the use of magnets. If I can't work it out, I'll settle for magnetised recesses, but I'm hoping I can avoid it.
Next up, we have the adorable UIF-X788 Devastator. I mean, aside from this little guy looking pretty much unlike a tank in every way, it's also the first conventional vehicle that I've made that uses wheels instead of tracks, and you have the option of using wheels with or without snow chains, for maximum terrain theming! This guy will also be included in this month's rewards, and is the first in a new range of vehicles, though as they're very distinct in their style from my usual stuff, they'll be a little more of a slow buildup of a range. I mean, it'll be faster than this first iteration, since I started the Devastator design in 2018!
But don't forget, there are plenty more things coming between now and the release date, including the Covenants of Mars' Hyperion Destroyers and Haratarii Dimachaeri, and the new Skjalos Guard Monagnor Heavy Flame Tank, plus two returning, revamped and refreshed favourites, the Type II Isaurix and Chalyciax tanks!
