Update 1: Well this is fun! With his blessing I added a segment about a certain famous actor sharing my Vampire frustration! I also updated and clarified a few things thanks to your comments. Updates can be found at:

Dear Supporters

Well this took longer than expected to make but I hope you agree the end result is a worthwhile solution to a little problem that has frustrated many of us Amiga users. It's incredible what can still be done to improve 35 year old machines!

In a way I see what you mean. If the PiStorm made A500 floppy sounds and showed a Workbench while booting I’d be fine with it. It’s the fact that it is a Linux boot screen that for me really detracts from the nostalgia that is the reason I have the real hardware. It’s not a good synergy.

It is a funny thing ... As the Amiga 500 came to market, everybody was saying "It is a giant leap in performance and speed" ... In reallity it took at least the time to load the workbench disk. Today we put a little quad-core SoC that can emulate the whole Amiga 500 and complain that, it takes 9 seconds to boot into RGB2HDMI or 25 seconds boot to the commandline ... Don't you think that, the kind of thinking is ablittle bit odd?
