Updates galore

Dear Supporters

For those not following my and Puppyfractic's almost-daily Patreon Lens updates on the app, things may have seemed a little quiet. In truth it's been very busy! Here's a few updates between video releases:

1. I've been working on an episode I'm really excited about, bringing full HDMI output in all graphics modes to the Amiga 500, on one HDMI cable (thanks to an HDMI switchbox). This is something that has bugged a ton of people and I'm glad to finally offer a sleek solution. I hope to finish editing that in the next day or 2 and it will go straight out to early access tiers then.

2. I'm also working on a cool new physical product, along the lines of other little things I've released, but this one will have full retail availability (think Amazon) and be great for anyone into VICE emulation. More info and the opportunity to get hold of a cost-price sample as a beta tester, soon!

3. Finally for now, that IBM 5100 time travel video keeps trending (306K views now woop!) and today I was contacted by the daughter of a former IBM engineer from the time that story allegedly took place. I'll let her email fill you in more, and as I leave you with that, I'll just add that I've reached out to him about doing a Zoom interview as a follow up video. Exciting and fun times! Cheers and thanks for your ongoing support in the past, and in the future... woooo... 👍🕹

Hello!
I'm not sure if you monitor this email/will see this, but I had commented on the video (link below), and responded back to you once I heard back from my Dad. He shared your video with a few hundred (or thousand) of his closest former colleagues today.
They apparently loved it.
Quite a few of them were heavily involved in what your video covered and have first hand knowledge. Whether it's related to IBM, the physics and practicality of time travel,  or a bit of both I can't answer, but perhaps my father can. Either way he can fill you in and put you in contact with the relevant people if you'd like (perhaps a follow up video...?)
My dad has some crazy stories as well - for example, in the late 80s/early 90s IBM did massive layoffs. My Dad was initially laid off, but he successfully sued IBM on the basis of discrimination as a middle aged, upper middle class white man - and won.
Feel free to call or text him anytime. [redacted]
You've made some new fans with us. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
Regards,
[redacted]
P.S.  if you're interested in crazy s***, my my Dad was drafted during Vietnam and served with special security clearance under the Old Guard in D.C. during his enlistment. This was the Era of MKUltra and such, and, well...ask him about getting unknowingly dosed with LSD at a military party (almost definitely by CIA). I can't guarantee he'll get into everything, as he obviously doesn't know you, but it's worth asking if you're interested. Trust me on this one 😉
