An exciting & non-exciting update

First up, I just finished a build I'm super dooper excited about, and hope to wrap up making the video in the next 1-2 weeks. The title will be: "I built a Star Wars Cockpit Arcade for $400!" It uses the 1UpArcade stand up version as a basis. Here's a sneak peek:
Also going public soon is the Amiga vs. PC at Battle Chess, and coming to early access tiers by the weekend will be my Lego SD2IEC disk drive - the BlockyDrive!
Now for the less exciting update. Patreon have changed some settings to ease some frustrations, and they advise me to communicate this change to you (yawn):
Long story short, some silly sausages were "joining" my Patreon, accessing the unlocked posts and videos, downloading my free chiptunes, then cancelling their membership 5 minutes later before they were billed at the start of the next month. Free music, cOoL! ๐
Patreon enabled a setting that now bills new members as soon as they join and gain access. This seems better all round and brings Patreon into line with how YouTube Channel Memberships does it. It's better for Patreons too, because the system now offers custom welcome notes per tier instead of one "catch all" welcome note. This means I can give higher tiers who have opted for my 2 albums and novel a link to download them immediately instead of waiting for the next billing cycle. The custom welcome notes also add a more personal feel on all tiers.
I now consider this info communicated to you! ;-) Seriously though, I don't believe it changes anything negatively at your end, but as always please do not hesitate to ask if you have any queries or concerns.

As a musician myself I do know how people want to listen to my stuff without paying a cent/penny/whatever, and regardless of the situation you never get quite used to it. Power to you for pointing this out! ๐
